This week’s announcements across the US, that has closed down bars and in-person dining at restaurants for next 2 to 4 weeks into the future is unprecedented. Fortunately, for those whose store shelves are empty or those who don’t cook, carryout and more importantly, DELIVERY are still operated at most establishments. If you’re someone who doesn’t cook you’re likely already using some of the food delivery services to bring food to you and practice your very own version of Social Distancing.
Before you download the app and try to place an order, please note, it isn’t cheap. Most restaurants have a delivery fee of $2.99 or more, plus service charges hidden under “Taxes and Fees”. This is all before you tip the driver, But boy howdy, it’s convenient. Most services offer a premium subscription the removes or reduces their standard fees. I have one with DoorDash, called DashPass via my Chase Sapphire Visa.
Personally, I use DaorDash most due to my FREE DashPass, which saves you delivery fees and service charges. Use this link to save $5 of your first 3 orders: Click Here—> $15 OFF – $5 Off 1st 3 Orders at DoorDash
