  1. OK, I give up! Where do you find the 7000 points for buying $20 under clip2card?

    • Maureen says:

It’s not a regular coupon, so you won’t find it in the coupon category. Log into your Walgreens account, click on the Balance Reward tab, and scroll down, looking on the left-hand side of the page under the “Your Members Only Perks” heading. If you got it, there will be a button to activate it.

I had an online “Get 7,000 points when you spend $25, one time use” perk valid 7/7 – 7/13 in my account last week that I used last Saturday night. When I checked out, I received a Catalina coupon for “Get 5,000 points when you spend $20.”

I bought newspapers and Digiorno pizza on Sunday morning and used the “Get 5,000 points when you spend $20” coupon I received Saturday night. At the end of the Sunday morning transaction, I received two new Catalina coupons – another “Get 5,000 points when you spend $20” coupon and a “Get 7,000 points when you spend $20 on beauty and personal care” coupon. I also received a new “Just for You” bonus perk in my online account to “Get 10X Balance Rewards points when you spend $20” that I activated.

People are saying there are coupons to get 7,000 points when you spend $20 on beauty and personal care at the cosmetics counter. I’ve been getting great Catalina coupons, so I did not check the cosmetics counter.

So if you don’t see the offer in your online Balance Rewards account, call your Walgreens and ask to speak to someone on the cosmetics counter. Ask if they have the coupons to get 7,000 points for spending $20. You could also (if it’s convenient) stop into Walgreens and buy something small to see if you get a Catalina. If you do go to Walgreens, look around the parking lot because people throw those Cats away or drop them all the time walking out of the store.

  2. Thanks for the detailed explanation Maureen. Walgreens is my least favorite pharmacy so I rarely shop there and thus apparently I’m not worthy of this offer! Oh well, if I get near a store I’ll stop in with my Pantene coupons just in case. Oh, btw, I do have the 10X rewards wyb $20 so I did activate that.
And unfortunately, or fortunately depending on how you look at it, all my Walgreens have a huge trash can right outside the front door…..

    • My Walgreens has a huge trash can outside as well. I still find Catalina coupons in the parking lot, especially during weeks when they seem to be printing for everyone.

I do 95% of my pharmacy shopping at CVS, but the 24-hour Walgreens in my town is one of the few retailers that sells an out-of-town Sunday paper that often has the good regional coupons, so I try to take advantage of moneymaker deals at Walgreens (especially moneymaker point deals) and then use the banked points to buy newspapers when I want extra papers.
