  1. I love the deals posted! However I think you’re doing a disservice by not including the $3 beauty buck you used to pay as part of the oop. The reason for my saying this is that, from your previous posts, you account for the earning of beauty bucks in your calculations. You’ll say “this puts me over the $30 threshold and so it’s $3 more in ECBs earned”. So since you consider beauty bucks as a type of currency earned, likewise they should be considered currency spent. So you spent $6.29. Still a great transaction.

    • I don’t include them when I earn them. I only include them when I spend them, because I forget to count them when I earn them.

    • Wayland and I both post CVS trips.

I calculate Beauty Club Extrabucks earned during the transaction because that 10% back is a factor in my decision to buy the product, and I include the 10% discount on qualifying products into the transaction that earned them. So if a big trip has $68 in qualifying BC purchases, I will include an extra $6.80 discount in the trip total.

Wayland prefers to count Beauty Club Extrabucks when he spends them on future purchases as he did in this trip.

It’s just a different way of expressing the extra earnings.

  2. Appreciate you sharing your awesome CVS shopping trip……I’m glad to see your post which helps me in doing some deals that also make me money (ECB’s) for my next trip!
