I have never done a class action settlement before. I get a little paranoid that somehow filing this will stop be from being able to do something in future…what you may ask…I have no idea 🙂 I’m curious on how others feel about doing the class action settlements. What information do they ask you? I’m guessing your name, address, proof of purchase or receipt, experience while using the product. Do they want your social security number? I appreciate any help. Thanks.

    • I’ve only joined one class action lawsuit, which is against Starkist tuna because they under-filled the cans for a long time. I had purchased a lot of tuna, including Starkist, during the years covered by the suit, so I felt justified in joining. I don’t remember what information I had to give, and it’s probably true that each case is different. I did not need to provide receipts.

    • Most only need your name, adress and email. Plus info on what was purchased like clicking amounts and entering a purchase date or location. I have never been asked to provide my social number, nor would I give them that info. The online forms are very easy and straight forward.
