UPDATE: Apparently the print and online version of the L’Oreal are different.  The print ad says limit $8 and the online version says limit 8.

Note from Maureen: CVS policy states whenever there is a discrepancy between the online ad and the print ad, the print ad prevails.

  1. For the L’Oréal deal it’s a limited of $8 per card

  2. I think the L’Oréal/Elevive deal says “offer limit of $8 per household”. That means you can only buy 3 and get the $8 extrabucks, not do the deal 8 times.

  3. My ad for the L’Oréal Elevive says it’s a limit of $8/card, not a limit of 8.

  4. I got 50%, 40%, and 20% loreal hair care. Can I use all and get 100%off on loreal shampoo? Lol

    • I have no idea how those coupons will work in combination on the same products. You’ll have to test it.

    • Terese Bennett says:

You cannot use more than one manufactures coupon on an item. Plus that’s not how it works. It doesn’t add up to 100%. IF they allowed more than one, you’d get 50%, then 40% and then finally 20%. (Example: if an item cost $10, then 50% discount would make the price $5. Then 40% of the $5 would make the item cost $3. Finally after the 20%, the item would cost $2.40.)

  5. Not a lot of deals lately. Seems like hibernation time with this cold weather—fine by me! I’m in SC and it only got up to 32. Weathermen predicted 39. They lie!

  6. I changed my plan once I got there and saw you could only get $8 ECB. I bought:
3 L’Oreal Elevive Shampoo $4.99 each (they only had 3 on the shelf)
    3 L’Oreal Elevive treatments $6.99 each
    I used a $2.00/2 L’Oreal CVS coupon expiring today
I used (3) of the $2.50/1 Elevive Treatment printable coupons
I only had the $3.00/2 Elevive printable with me. I wish I had brought the $1.00/1 also! (My RP didn’t have the $4/2)
    I had $4/$18 CVS
I also had $6/$30 emailed coupon
    Earned $8 ECB
Total cost: $5.44. (.91 each) Not as good as I initially hoped, but I wanted to try these!

  7. Can’t use the 50 40 or 30 on sale items have to be full price.

  8. Barbara A. says:

Can you buy 2 Loreal in one transaction and get the $4 and then go back and buy one more and get another $4 . I mean will it remember and let you do it in 2 transactions?

    • Wayland P says:

      I think so.

    • Your purchases always track over multiple trips for ECB promotions.

I haven’t seen that kind of two-tiered promotion in a while, but in the past, if you bought two, you’d get the $4 ECB, then after buying the third, you’d get another $4 to fulfill the $8 wyb 3 promotion. No reason to think that isn’t still the case, but the registers can be glitchy lately. If you don’t get another $4 ECB after buying the third one, just call CVS customer service.

    • May be a good idea. I bought 3 Loreal products totalling over $18 to use the $4 off $18 CVS coupon. The register (and manager) only let me use one insert coupon. I chose the $4 off $2. Sometimes the register is quirky or I read the coupon wrong.
