Waste Industries (and affiliates) Class Action Settlement – No proof required

Here’s another class action lawsuit settlement. Through 1/26/18, you can lodge a claim in this settlement if you paid fees to Waste Industries or one of their affiliated companies between 3/3/11 and 9/15/17. You do not need to furnish any proof on your end and your settlement amount will be determined at a future date. More info here.

A note about class action lawsuit settlements: Keep in mind that these often take months or years to pay out; however, they are worth the time. You will probably even forget that you requested your check by the time it arrives, so it may end up being a very pleasant surprise some day in the future 😉

  1. Hope that this helps everyone who wishes to file a claim.

This one will only be applicable, to the folks who truly are or were, customers of this company.
The claim form requires the following information:

In order to file a claim form online, you must have the 8-digit Unique ID number provided in the Email Notice or printed above your name and address on the postcard Notice you received in the mail.

My garbage company is Waste Management and I wrote to Waste Industries to find out my Unique ID (as I didn’t receive anything in the mail). I didn’t tell them why I was writing but, they could not find me listed in their database. So it looks like the two companies may not be the same entity.
