  1. This coupon did not reset for me in MN 🙁

    • When did you print it the first time? We don’t know exactly when the coupon reset, but if you printed after the reset occurred, then that is why you can print it again. I printed twice from this computer the day the coupon was released and I was just able to grab two more prints. Lots of folks tipped me off to the reset.

    • Julie Kroschel says:

      me either

  2. Tom Collins says:

No reset here, either. CA. Printed them last week.

  3. Elizabeth Cheatwood says:

Didn’t reset for me either… it let me go to it but when I tried to print it wouldn’t print

  4. No reset for me. I printed the day they became available.

  5. No reset in Florida either

  6. no reset in Maryland. I printed them this week

  7. Christine says:

At first, it did not work for me, so I cleaned out my browser cache and it worked! Sometimes there are “leftovers” (for lack of a better word!) that are hanging out in the files and cleaning out the browser removes them. I just printed yesterday and am able to print again today. A good tip is to clean out your browser often, and I always do it prior to marathon coupon printing sessions. Seems to make things go much smoother.

  8. No reset for me in VA. I printed it Friday.

  9. Reset for me in Ohio. PS thank you for helping me save money! Your site is awesome!

  10. Yvette Herrera says:

Does this coupon still limit to one coupon per day?

  11. Tom Collins says:

The browser trick didn’t work for me. Cleared it and then all the q’s came up again, but then I had to give a mobile number with a code and it went back to the limit reached status. 🙁

  12. How do I clean out my browser cache?

  13. Thomas Ford says:

went on Savings Star same day as you posted this and no $2 on Persil came up and still not seeing it.

    • SavingStar offers disappear rapidly. Always log on to their site when you wake up on Sunday mornings and the first day of the month and activate everything. If you activate the offer while available, you have all the way until the expiration date to use it.

  14. Thomas Ford says:

i thought if i printed the same coupon 4 times from coupons.com, it would only work once because each coupon has its own individualuzed series of numbers. How would it scan at register at CVs, Walgreens, etc. if same numbers on coupon code at bottom?

    • Two times from each computer on most coupons.com printables. There are two sets of numbers. The ones in the upper right are the unique serial numbers for the coupons. As long as those are different, you’re fine.

    • To get two valid prints from coupons.com, you need to clip the coupon and print (one print), then go back to the main page and clip and print (one print) a second time. If you do that, the barcode the cashier scans (the GS1 databar/UPC databar) that is in the bottom-left section of the coupon will be identical on each coupon because that barcode contains encoded information about the offer (product, value, size, expiration date). However, the data matrix with a 16-digit code in the upper-right section of the coupon will be different on each valid coupon. The data matrix contains encoded information about the computer and IP address of the device that printed the coupon.

There is a decent explanation here of the two different “barcodes” that appear on print-at-home coupons:

      http://mymommataughtme.com/identical-coupons-with-the-same-bar-codes/

What newbies do not understand is that if the computer’s print manager opens and allows the person to increase the number of prints, the person is not being asked to indicate how many unique coupons to print but rather how many copies of that coupon to print. If all the ID codes (the data matrix and 16-digit code in the upper-right corner) are the same, then only one of those coupons will be valid. The rest will be invalid copies of a single unique, valid coupon. This will be true of all coupons offered through software programs that limit the number of available prints to one or two coupons per device (coupons.com, Red Plum, SmartSource, Hopster, RevTrax, etc.).

Also, let’s say you do increase the number of prints and get four copies of the same unique coupon (so you have one valid coupon and three invalid copies). The invalid coupons will still scan at the register because the cashier is only scanning the GS1 databar, which is the same on all coupons for that offer. Only if the cashier checks the unique ID codes and sees that they are identical on all four coupons will he or she know you have one good coupon three bad coupons.

When those coupons are sent to the clearinghouse, they are scanned by lasers that read both the databar and the data matrix. Duplicate data matrix coupons are flagged, and the coupon is traced back to the computer/IP address that printed the coupons. At that point, the vendor that hosted the coupon (coupons.com, SmartSource, Red Plum, etc.) could disable that computer’s ability to print coupons in the future. That is why we need to be really careful about making sure our print-at-home coupons are valid and why we never leave print-at-home coupons on shelves for strangers to use (because someone could photocopy the coupon out of malice or ignorance).
