I had a nice little Winn-Dixie trip today. There were some things that I needed pretty badly (coffee creamer, mayo and coconut milk), so I’m happy with 74.3% savings on this trip, even though it’s a little lower than most of grocery shopping trips. I realize that there’s a much better deal on Silk at Target, but I was short of my $40 to use my $5 off total purchase coupon and I really didn’t feel like making a special trip to Target this week anyways.

That $5 off $40 total purchase coupon was from completing the survey that prints at the bottom of any Winn-Dixie trip. You can even buy a single banana and you will get offered the survey on your receipt. Upon completion of the brief survey, you are given a link to print a $5 off $40 purchase Winn-Dixie coupon.

This trip was a little bit interesting. My cashier told me they are no longer accepting printable coupons. I had her call a manager to confirm this, and he said they are manually taking a peek at the printable coupons presented before deciding whether or not to accept them. He said his store had $1700 in losses last month from photocopied and/or fake printable coupons. Wow.

Anyways, they accepted all of my coupons, but the printables wouldn’t scan automatically. All of them were manually keyed in at the register. What drama! 😉

Also, keep in mind that many Winn-Dixie stores do not accept coupons on the free item in a BOGO sale. This store did not object. Also, some stores may allow multiples of competitor coupons; I chose not to try it.

  1. I quit couponing at Walgreens and Winn Dixie here in Tallahassee. It was so stressful every time i shopped there. Managers were always called over and seemed like they wanted to lecture me. Tired of being treated like a criminal. Only use coupins at CVS and Publix here. They continue to be great! But…jealous of your recent Walgreens hauls.

    • Steve Pinski says:

Walgreens has been good lately, but I’m always wondering which coupons the register is going to beep on, because the registers act a little strange sometimes.

  2. Thanks for the heads up on the Glucerna snack bars. I hit the JACKPOT at my Winn Dixie this afternoon.
I found them on clearance, priced at $2.44. *Happy dance* 🙂
I made two trips and here’s what I got:

8 HIllshire snacking trays – on sale 2/$5.00 (reg. 2.99)
    Used 8 $.75 MQ (printed from coupons.com)
2 INTERNATIONAL DELIGHT COFFEE CREAMERS 48 OZ, on sale 2/$7 (reg. $4.79)
Used 2 $1.00/1 MQ (from a blinkie machine at another store)
    4 Glucerna snack bars 6 ct – clearance $2.44 (reg $4.89)
    Used 4 $3,00/1 MQ
Used 2 $3.00/2 Publix store coupon
***I made this in two different purchases (along with the Hillshire snacking trays)

Total Retail Value of All Merchandise: $46.56
Net Price Paid for Everything: $10.76

    • OK, I need to make a correction……thought about this later last night. My math was off a little (as I used the sale price of the Hillshire vs the retail price)……
      Just gotta brag !!!

Total Retail Value of All Merchandise: $50.48
Net Price Paid for Everything: $10.76
