I went to Walmart late on Saturday for a few good deals.  The Axe caught my eye a few days ago, then I spotted the Checkout51 deal for Sargento Snack Bites, so I went for those deals and a few others I had been considering.  The Axe, Act, Oreo Milka, Del Monte, and Sargento ibotta offers were especially valuable to me because they got me halfway to the 15 rebates I need for the May Level 3 and May Boost bonuses.

  1. Oh thank you Maureen……….I need 4 more to get to the 15 for the bonus, and the AXE shampoo is gonna count for 3 of them !!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for the AWESOME idea 🙂

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY EVERYONE (especially those of us with “fur-babies”) !!

  2. Tricia W says:

Are you allowed to use one receipt for three different bonuses when you haven’t bought 3 qualifying purchases? If so do you resubmit the receipt three different times? Oh you did say “bonuses” so that is different than regular items I assume.

    • Maureen says:

I bought everything on one receipt and verified the UPCs for each offer all at once.

ibotta offers bonuses for teamwork (there are four monthly team bonuses) and additional random bonuses for redeeming a certain number of rebates within a certain period of time. Any brand rebates (like $0.25 for bananas) do not count toward team or special bonuses.

To get on a team, you link your ibotta account to your Facebook account and then “friend” people who also have ibotta accounts.

      • Can I add you as a team mate on Ibotta? I do not have a facebook account

        • Maureen says:

The only way to join a team is by linking your ibotta account to your Facebook account and becoming Facebook friends with other ibotta users.

          • Ruth Grass says:

what is the benefit of joining a team on facebook with ibotta? I have both.

          • Maureen says:

More money. There are four levels of teamwork bonuses every month.

For instance, the May Level 1 team bonus was to earn an additional $1 for redeeming 8 unique rebates and for the team to earn a total of $10 in rebates. With a team, you hit the $10 quickly, even if your 8 unique rebates are only $0.25 each (which would only total $2 for eight rebates).

May Level 2: Earn an additional $1 for redeeming 10 unique rebates and for the team to earn a total of $10 in rebates.

May Level 3: Earn an additional $2 for redeeming 15 unique rebates and for the team to earn a total of $20 in rebates.

May Level 4: Earn an additional $3 for redeeming 20 unique rebates and for the team to earn a total of $25 in rebates.

As you can see, each level gets a little harder to earn, but if I redeem a total of 53 rebates in May, I will earn an extra $7 from the monthly teamwork bonuses in addition to the product rebates, multiple product bonuses, and random incentive bonuses (like the Mid-Week Money Maker for $2 for redeeming 8 rebates by May 5 or the May Boost for $2 for redeeming 15 rebates by 5/15).

Any brand rebates don’t count toward team bonuses. The rebates have to be for branded products. However, each branded rebate you redeem earns credit toward the special incentive bonuses and the teamwork bonuses.

  3. If you spotted the Checkout 51 Sargento cheese bonus at walmart, it’s because I posted it in your Target post about the Sargento cheese. I will, from now on, keep my findings to myself.

    • Steve Pinski says:

I know this is Maureen’s shopping trip and I usually leave all her comments for her to answer, but I think I need to take this one.

      1. A shopping trip post isn’t a deals post. We just post what we bought and what coupons we used. We don’t credit/thank people for individual deals. We do that when we write up the individual deals, but…
      2. Monica wrote the Sargento deal; Maureen did this shopping trip. They are two different people.
      3. Maureen almost never shops at Target, because hers is a very inconvenient distance from her house. She probably didn’t even read the post you mentioned.
      4. I wouldn’t expect her to “thank” people for individual deals in a shopping trip, even if she got the deal from someone else.

If it’s going to hurt your feelings if we don’t go out of our way to kiss your ass on a deal that we might not have even seen you write, then I agree that it is best if you keep your findings to yourself, as you stated.

      • Maureen says:

Steve is correct that I often don’t read posts for Target unless something that interests me is mentioned in the subject line. However, I do skim comments for every post because I take my turn at approving comments for publication, and I did, in fact, see Jan’s comment for Sargento cheese that she bought at Walmart.

However, as I noted in an earlier comment directly to Jan, I checked out at Walmart for the Saturday trip I posted at 11:43 am, which was almost three hours before Jan left her comment on the Target post. I knew about the ibotta, Checkout51, SavingStar, and Mobisave rebates for everything I bought at Walmart for my 5/13 trip before I left the house to shop.

      • What the HELL, isn’t that what all of us are on this site for, to help each other out to get the best deals???

        THANK YOU TO EVERYONE……

    • Maureen says:

No, I did not learn about the Walmart Sargento deal from your comment on Steve’s Target post. You left that comment on 2017/05/13 at 2:27 pm. My Walmart receipt for the trip I posted is dated 5/13/17 at 11:43:41. I am going to add a photo of my receipt to the bottom of my trip post to show you.

Do you believe you are the only person in the world who checks cashback apps frequently to look for overlapping deals? Do you seriously believe that if you spot a deal and leave a comment about somewhere that every person who got the same deal could only have learned about it from you?

  4. I have $1.00/2 Milka Oreo bars in the 5/7 SS

    • Maureen says:

I got the $0.55/1 coupon, but I only got two papers with that coupon and had used them on a previous purchase.

  5. Wow! I’m sorry that you guys had to go through a rough comment. We do not thank you guys enough for sharing thousands of deals, not just one deal. Please keep up your great work and don’t let down by one individual 🙂 To be honest, I like how you guys lay out the deal best, comparing to other sites. It’s easy to read and to copy/paste to Word for my shopping trip list. And another good thing is your preclipped coupons go straight to coupons.com website, which is my favorite thing, without the hassle to transfer to an embedded site.

  6. I have a question for Maureen. I tried to submit the rebate for Axe as you instructed in the post. It said I had $7 confirmed, but only gave me $1.50 credit. I contacted ibotta and got this reply

“Thank you for writing in. At this time, our featured rebates are for single verification and no additional credit will be awarded for multiple rebates on the same product. This means that once you redeem a rebate for an item, you cannot redeem other rebates for the same item.

If you have multiple rebates that all share a certain required item, you can redeem all of the separate rebates by purchasing a separate item for each rebate. For example, if you unlock 5 rebates that require a purchase of Bud Light, you must purchase 5 Bud Light products to complete each rebate.”

I guess I’m not lucky as you. Can you please confirm that you did receive $7 for buying Axe? Of course, I’m not going to tell ibotta that you did. I hope they can change the amount to $4 (two of $2) so that would be free, not moneymaker. Thanks in advance for your time to respond.

    • Maureen says:

Yes, I received $7 for two bottles. They’ve given me similar credits in the past when I had two rebates for the same product although it happened very rarely that I had more than one rebate in my gallery for the same item. I never got a message like the one you received, but your message from ibotta could signal a crackdown.
