I had a great little trip to Target today. After I posted that moneymaker Purina Beyond scenario, I ran to the store to confirm that it worked as planned. Sure enough, I scored the deal and it was a penny better than I thought.

FYI – The Checkout51 offers for Dulcolax and Zantac reset this morning. I had Stephanie redeem the offers from this receipt, so we were able to get the SavingStar cashback too, even though I had already done the deals on my account. Without SavingStar, the Zantac will cost you about $0.69 and the DulcoEase will be a smaller $1.26 moneymaker.

Bad experience at Target tonight. I tried following your Purina Beyond scenario and was told I couldn’t use the 10/40 Target coupon because after applying the $5/1 coupon my total was below $40, I said you should enter the 10/40 first after scanning the products and the cashier said no we do the MQ first. Any suggestions? I buy dog food for my sister’s doggies and this was an incredible deal if it works for me that is.
    Thanks

    • Cashier is wrong I’ve done this deal ten times and everything went good! I use self checkout and scan the 10 off 40 myself then scan my coupons! Or go to another target! Targets can be weird I had a manager tell me last week they do not take coupons on clearance! I went back the next day used self service my coupon scanned perfect then I went to customer service where the same manager was working have him my receipt and smiled while going out the door!

    • They really are being picky it sounds like !!!
If your store has self check-out, use it and apply the coupons in the order you mentioned (the $10/$40 first).
I usually do those type first, then scan my cartwheel…………then scan the MQ’s.
Maybe that will help. (or try another cashier and only give them that one first and after they scan it, then hand over your phone for the cartwheel…………..then, hand over the remainder of the coupons).
      Just suggestions 🙂

I’ve been able to make it work before; if nothing else, I say I have coupons and pull out the store one and give it to the cashier, then pretend to look through an envelope of coupons. They often scan the one first, then the others once I “find” them. I’ve also asked to talk with a manager and/or gone to a different line/cashier, day, or location and had better luck.

Keep in mind that many dogs (and cats) don’t adjust well to new foods and may have some stomach upset when changing foods.

I’ll be purchasing for our local pet food bank or a shelter. Good luck to you and your sister!

Success!! Went to a different Target and everything processed 100% plus I know this is petty and silly but I received .05 bag credit so .20 credit, bringing my total to basically 0, just paid tax. I used the strategies recommended. I’m a happy camper. Thanks again couponaholic team.
