I went to two CVS stores this morning, one for my card and one for my mother’s card.  My transaction cost more than hers, but I got three Cottonelle toilet papers and four jars of Hellmann’s mayonnaise.  My mother had a CVS coupon for $3/$15 any cosmetics, which was a great coupon to use for the Sally Hansen deal. I’ve also decided, starting this week, to add the discount I will receive from the CVS Beauty Club (get $5 Extrabucks for every $50 spent on qualifying products) when I calculate the total savings for the transaction.  It’s easy to figure out because you just add up the qualifying items and take 10% of the total.  It makes sense to show the discount as it’s earned rather than when it’s awarded, which can be weeks in the future.

My mother’s card:

  1. Isnt the 10ct Ibuproben considered to be a trial / travel size which is excluded from the deal?

    • Steve Pinski says:

The Extra Bucks printed for her.

      • Denisec says:

The 10 ct wasn’t in the trial /travel area at my store. It was on shelf with all other pain relievers and tagged “Get $5 Extra bucks for buying two select CVS ibuprofen or acetaminophen”. Extra bucks printed for me! Thanks!

    • Maureen says:

No. If you go to the CVS website and check My Weekly Ad, you can see the current weekly promotions. Click on the CVS ibuprofen/acetaminophen deal, and you will see all the qualifying items. The 10-count pocket size is listed for both ibuprofen and acetaminophen, including photographs of the packages that clearly show the tubes.

      • Maureen says:

PS – The 10-count was tagged with the $5 ECB sale sign at one store but not the other, but you can see from the online My Weekly Ad that it isn’t a glitch. The 10-count tubes are meant to be included in the promotion.

        Also, just because it’s a 10-count package doesn’t mean it’s trial/travel. Trial/Travel pain killer packages are often 2-4 tablets.

  2. Carolyn says:

When I click on the $.50/1 Cottonelle coupon link, it appears it’s gone ??? (or is it regional?) I found it in the 5/14 SS, but need another one.

  3. Jonathan says:

What’s the limit on the ibuprofen deal?
