What’s FREE (or almost free) at Walgreens 4/9-4/15

Here is our list of Walgreens deals that are free or nearly free in the weekly ad starting 4/9. If you want to check out the full weekly ad and coupon matchups for the week of 4/9 – 4/15 at Walgreens, go here. If you are shopping later in the week, I strongly advise that you check out our Walgreens Category to see if there’s anything new since we published the weekly ad matchups and this list.

Don’t forget that Walgreens now allows you to cash in points on smaller totals. See the breakdown below. Also, DO NOT redeem points if you plan on earning points on a transaction. If you do that, you will not earn the new points – with some exceptions. (If the deal requires you to buy a certain number of an item *like “Buy Two, Get 500 Points”, you can still redeem points and earn the new points. DO NOT redeem points when doing a deal that requires a certain dollar amount like “Buy $15 of Aveeno, Get 5000 Points.”)

1,000 Points = $1
2,000 Points = $2
3,000 Points = $3
5,000 Points = $5
10,000 Points = $10
18,000 Points = $20
30,000 Points = $35
40,000 Points = $50

Also note that Walgreens changed their coupon policy in late May 2014. There are quite a few changes and you can read more about them here.

  1. OK, I have a dingy question…………If you use the 5X bonus points coupon when you purchase $10.00, and you buy 8 boxes of Wal-dryl (like you did today)….will that multiply the 5000 pts you get for purchasing two to 25,000 points?
    I’m not a frequent Walgreen’s shopper so I was just wondering 🙂

    • Steve Pinski says

No, it’s just going to multiple the Everyday Points by five. Those are normally 10 points per $1 spent. In your example, eight boxes would cost $24. Instead of getting 240 Everyday Points, you will get 240 Everyday Points plus 960 Bonus Points (1200 total points which is 5x the Everyday Points) plus you will get the 20,000 points for doing the Wal-Dryl deal four times. Total points earned is 21,200.

  2. Samantha says

The Almay was a MM for me.

    • Steve Pinski says

Sweet. Did you get overage? Did the Catalina print?

      • Valencia says

My deal did not get overage but it was a MM. Bought a lipstick for $7.49 and makeup removers that rung up $2.89, used 2 x $3 mqs and the $4/2 Wags q. Paid .38 after coupons and got back $3 catalina.

  3. I found these Almay 2 pack of eye makeup wipes that said bonus pack. (2) jars of 80 each celaphaned together. These were NOT buy one get one 1/2 off, but they were $5.99 for the 2 pack and the 1 pack was $6.29. So I opted for the 2 pack anyway. So I got 2 of the 2 packs of 80 (320 total) for $11.98- (2) of the $3 SS, -$4/2 Wags coupon. Paid $1.98, and got a $3 RR! Net MM $1.02! The cashier tried scanning the Wags coupon, and it wouldn’t work. Asked the manager and they put it through. I would have complained otherwise:)
