I made a trip to CVS just before midnight last night. I had some Extra Bucks expiring and I’m traveling on Wednesday morning. I won’t be anywhere near a CVS for a week, and I wasn’t going to let some Extra Bucks expire on me. The store I usually shop at will take them a few days past expiration, but I didn’t want to take the chance that seven or eight days past expiration would be acceptable. I was scrambling to get to the store before midnight, so I didn’t have a chance to be very creative. We only have one more box of kitchen trash bags, so I thought I’d take the opportunity to stock up on a decent deal and make the trip a little simpler.

Here’s what I bought, along with the coupons used:

My $1.00/1 Arm & Hammer on my app says it is a manufacturer coupon, so I wasn’t able to use both coupons. The Maybelline mascara was the same way.

    • Yeah, me also I think they are heading in the same direction as Meijer Mperks has with their clip coupons. I tried last week to buy the Northern toilet paper and had clipped the app coupon and was going to use my manufacture coupon also and it kept beeping so they said can’t use with the app. SO didn’t buy…

      • I read in another blog that it has to do with the state you live in and taxing purposes… I did both the Great lash mascara and the Arm & Hammer deals with the app and paper coupons– Worked fine! One thing I was told was that you need them to scan your ExtraCare card on your phone to get the app coupons to come off properly (not sure if this is true), but a CVS shift manager said that they’ve had problems with the app coupons and corporate is working on it…

One is a cvs store coupon and the other is a manufacturer coupon. You can use a store coupon plus a manufacturer coupon on one item at cvs

  2. That’s weird; I did the same deal and was able to use app and paper coupons for Arm & Hammer and Maybelline! Makes it difficult when the rules seem to vary from store to store.

You can go to cvs.com/coupons and print it
