Here are the coupon matchups (and full contents) of the Safeway grocery store weekly ad that runs from 1/25-1/31. This is the version of the ad that is running in the western part of the country, so there will probably be some major differences if you live on the East Coast. Hopefully we can get the other versions of the ad at some point in the future.You can read the full Safeway Co Policy here, but I’ve included a few highlights below.Coupon doubling is on a per-store basis; some stores double coupons, while other stores do not. If a coupon’s value is higher than the cost of the item, you only get the item for free; no overage is given towards the rest of your order. If a store promotion makes an item free, you can not use any coupons towards that free item. Printable coupons are accepted, except for “FREE ITEM” coupons. Coupons from competing stores are not accepted.
Other ways to save at Safeway: Sign up for their Gas Rewards Points program. (Read about the gas points program here.) Safeway is also a participating retailer in the SavingStar and Ibotta cashback programs, so make sure you sign up for those. Also, some purchases will trigger Catalina coupons that will get you dollars off a future order (much like Walgreens Register Rewards.)
