Rite Aid: Error in Weekly Ad = Not as great of a Wet N Wild deal as expected!

rite-aid-misprintRite Aid is claiming that the Wet N Wild deal is a misprint. The ad states that Wet N Wild Holiday Gift Sets are 40% off, plus you get 400 Plenti Points ($4) value for buying them (limit 2.) However, this deal is not working as advertised. The actual deal is 400 Plenti Points when you buy $12 of Wet N Wild Gift Sets on sale 40% off. With that in mind, we don’t have a moneymaker. In fact, here’s the best case scenario…

At Rite Aid 12/11-12/17:
BUY FIVE WET N WILD NAIL GIFT SETS (I think these have nine nail polishes each), on sale $2.99 (after 40% off; reg. $4.99)
Get 400 Plenti Points ($4 value) for buying $12 (instead of what is advertised)
No coupons used
Price at Register: $14.95, but get 400 Plenti Points ($4 value)
NET PRICE FOR ALL: $10.95 (or $2.19 each!)

  1. Each store might be different. My store wouldn’t give me the overage but they basically credited my account for the $2.99 of each item so I got them for free.
