CVS 5/8 (Steve) – $5.19 PROFIT on $35.60 of Merchandise (114.6% Saved)

cvs-050816I had a great trip to CVS today! I got a TON of new coupons at the Red Coupon Machine, including a new $3/$10 ANY Body Lotion CVS store coupon. I already had one from a few weeks ago that was due to expire today. I ended up using both of them to score a moneymaker on BIG bottles of Eucerin. Unfortunately, I shopped so late in the day that my store was out of the 500ml bottles of Scope, so I didn’t get the moneymaker. However, I snagged two BIG bottles for only $0.04 each!

I also received a $5 Beauty Club Extra Bucks from the Red Coupon Machine today. Even though that was earned over various trips the past month or so, I credit these when they print so they are accounted for at some point. Those extra $5 of savings are included in the final stats at the bottom of this post. (If you don’t include them, my trip was only $0.19 profit – not including the sales tax.)

  1. On the Eucerin offer I bought (4) items at a little over $5 and used (4) $3/1 cpns and (2) $3/$10 ANY Body Lotion CVS store coupon. I paid about $5 oop (plus) tax but received $10 EB Over $4 moneymaker.

    • Steve Pinski says:

Nice. Glad your store had the item around $5 that matches the coupon fine print. Not many of us still have it at our stores.

  2. Ken from Philly says:

I still had 2 x $2 Scope coupons, 500 ml, and a CVS receipt printed $2 mouthwash coupon, so you know I made out like a bandit….

    • Steve Pinski says:

AWESOME! I was looking to see if I had any $2 coupons left, but I couldn’t find any. I think I used all mine.

  3. Ken from Philly says:

I don’t see it listed, but the Fructis shampoo/hair care deal is a money maker too. I had newspaper coupons for $3 off 2 and $1/1, and a CVS $3 off $9 Fructis hair care coupon, so after the $3 ECB on $9 ($3 ea.), I netted $1.

  4. Ken from Philly says:

One last deal to brag about, as it was part of my wife’s Mother’s Day haul, 2 Oil of Olay non-sale regenerator whatever items for about $60, 30% off total purchase CVS coupon ($18), CVS $10 off $40 (mixed with other purchases, but I assign it all here), $5 off Olay coupon, and CVS 25% off facial beauty, so I am guessing around $18-19, and a $15 MIR on $50 Olay products, so net cost $4-5 on Oil of Olay $60 retail. If I bought the sale last week (2 for $50 or whatever), I’d lose $8 (30% coupon for non-sale items only) so I waited a day. She got that and Eucerin and Fructis and OK I’m not totally a cheapie I got her a $100 gift card for her fav restaurant and took her out to dinner Sat night to her second fav restaurant.

  5. steve, just confirming- (on eucerin) u spent $8.98 * 2 = $17.96 and got the $10ecb?

    • Steve Pinski says:

I spent a grand total of $8.98 after all my store and manufacturer’s coupons and earned the $10 Extra Bucks (because my pre-coupon total was over $20.)

  6. mary rinder says:

Unfortunately the small Eucerin bottles that were recommended last Sat. or Sun. to buy this week were excluded in the detailed part of coupon, which I cannot read without a magnifying glass. And the clerks in area were wise to that, and denied it. First time for something that weird, since at the top it said in readable print 2-16.9 oz. Did get the MMaker listed above for Fructis!
Thanks for your constant help finding great deals!!!

    • Steve Pinski says:

Nope, the Original Healing Lotion 5 oz IS NOT excluded in the fine print. There is a different 5 oz product that is excluded. However, when we wrote about the deal and posted a video we mentioned that the 5 oz tube that most stores carry IS NOT the “Original” item and the smaller items that are carried at many CVS stores are the ones that are explicitly excluded. That’s why we also listed an alternate scenario.

In fact, when I did a video about this deal I showed the type of scenario I would have to do, because my store is one of them that only carries a 5 oz product that is excluded on the coupon.
