Kmart: SIX Bags of M&Ms for only $1.09!!!

Team Couponaholic now has a Shop Your Way Personal Shopper account! Personal Shopper is a little bit of a misnomer, it’s more like “Personal Deal Finder,” ‘cuz while ya’ll are great, I’m not shopping for you, shopping for me is exhausting enough! 😉 There are a few benefits though to having a personal shopper:

  • When you sign up, you’ll get a three month trial to SYW Max, which allows you to get free shipping on orders that are either over $30 or have a single item priced at over $10. There is no Credit Card required and it doesn’t automatically renew.
  • Most months, Shop Your Way sends out a few bucks in points to members who are signed up with a personal shopper that are valid for a couple of days. There is no guarantee this will continue in the future, but it’s happened almost every month that I’ve been watching. I’ll be sure to let you know in the blog and on Shop Your Way, when this is coming.
  • Personal Shoppers have the ability to send out store coupons to clients. What coupons are available tend to vary, but I definitely plan on sending out the best value coupon I can find to all clients on the first day of each Super Doubles.

To add me as your Personal Shopper, you’ll want to head over to Shop Your Way to sign in. You’ll then want to click *here* to make me your personal shopper.

  1. This sounds good on paper but has anyone actually tried this deal yet? I am wondering if the registers/checkers are cooperating! I am guessing the tax may be higher than the total since it is candy and high tax?

    • Steve Pinski says:

Sales tax is in addition to what is listed. We don’t factor that in, because some states (like NH and a few others) have no sales tax. Other states (like mine) have different rates based on the county where you are shopping.

  2. I know, I was just kidding since you have the price with coupons so low! I just figured it and here in IL, that would be 41c tax on all 6 bags. I was thinking the bags were the big ones and for those 6 bags it would be over $1.09 just on tax! I did learn something on Jill Cataldo’s site around Halloween that here in IL anyway, if a candy contains the ingredient FLOUR, then they cannot tax it as candy and only as food. We tested it out on Twix “cookie” bars and they were taxed as food and not candy. 1% food or 6.25% candy is a big difference when you are buying a ton of holiday candy bags. See how they tax yours in your state?

    • Steve Pinski says:

Wow, I’ll have to check that out. I think here candy is taxed at 7% in my county (6% in other parts of the state with no county sales tax), but food is 0% everywhere in FL.

  3. I’m moving to FL then….no tax on food! Seriously though, I live south of Chicago and they think my taxes are cheap here, they pay almost 10% on non foods up there! Don’t even ask about alcohol. I also heard sugary cereals and WATER are high tax in Chicago. Thank you Michelle Obama!

  4. Buy 2 get one free should deduct $1.09 — so you get 6 bags for the price of 2 —
except the BOGO coupon seems to be gone now.
