  1. I’m super confused. I try and crosscheck deals with several different websites because people have different deals in different areas but the other site said to use four coupons on five paper towels and they would be free??? See how these things can be confusing?

    • Monica Bragg says:

Their registers don’t work that way when you get instant savings. The total has to be more than $5 AFTER coupons in order for the $5 to deduct.

      • that’s why you have to get 7 paper towels… 7@1.75=12.25. subtract 7 $1 coupons then you get 5.25… then take off the $5 instant savings. this is how they mathed it. I checked their coupon policy on their site and they do not state a limit for number of duplicate coupons allowed…ie one mfg cpn per item

  2. Thank you for setting me straight. It does give me a case of the sads since I can’t get seven prints to do the deal.

    • Monica Bragg says:

If you can get three prints then buy five and use three coupons and it will make all five a total of $.75.

    • You don’t have to buy 7. You save $5 when you buy 5 participating items. So, they are $0.75 each when you buy 5 = total before coupons $3.75 If you use 4 $1/1 coupons, makes it minus $0.25. DG doesn’t give overage, so you get them all for free.

      • Monica Bragg says:

In the past when Dollar General does scenarios like this you MUST have $5 left AFTER coupons before the $5 will even deduct. They may have changed this but either way it is still a great deal.

  3. My shopping with coupons at DG has not always been that good. They are not that couponer friendly, I would be surprised if they let you use seven printable coupons in the same transaction.

  4. I didn’t think you could use more than 4 like coupons in one transaction,

  5. I don’t get this either. If it is for $5 off 5 items and doesn’t say $5 off $5, how does that make sense?

  6. It isn’t working. Tried two stores this morning. The computer is only giving 3.75 credit instead of the 5.00 credit. So you actually have to pay that difference. Plus the cashiers and managers are unable to over ride it. Doesn’t matter if you buy 5,6, or 7 rolls. Good luck to anyone else who tries, great deal in theory..

  7. Here is a DG Freebie tip. Purchase 4 boxes of Chloraseptic sore throat lozenges. $2.50 regular price, Total $5.00. Use a $2.00 DG Digital coupon ($2,00 off $10.00 pretax) and 4 manufacturer coupons 9-27 SS.Get Them FREE.

  8. OOPS Correction to my post. 4 boxes of chloraseptic will be $10.00.

  9. You can also buy something else to take up the overage. I bought 5 Viva & 1 Cosmic Brownies at $1.75. It took off all 5 MQ’s & the $5. I paid $1.80 OOP before tax for everything. So, my VIVA ended up being $.01 each. HTH
