CVS 6/16 (Steve) – Paid $16.14 for $70.36 of Merchandise (77.1% Saved)

Welcome to my new garage!

I headed out to CVS tonight to stock up on our nice soda deal. I took the roommate along for the trip. Since she received a $6 off $30 CVS store coupon by email last week, we decided to use her card for this week’s shopping. Unfortunately, our store was wiped out of the Meta Health Bars for this big moneymaker, so that impacted the stats a bit. I also had to make a little adjustment so we could hit the $30 threshold without exceeding the Pepsi 12-pack limit in a single transaction. (I added a Coke 2L bottle and some clearance Goya Vanilla Wafers.)

Here’s what we bought, along with the coupons used:

THREE DIET MTN DEW 12-PACKS, on sale 3/$8 (regular price $5.99) – this sale price varies by location!
Get $10 CVS Cash Card when you buy $30 of participating items (including Diet Mtn Dew 12-packs)
No coupons used
Price at Register: $8

THREE DIET MTN DEW 12-PACKS, on sale 3/$8 (regular price $5.99) – this sale price varies by location!
FIVE NESTLE PURE LIFE WATER 24-PACKS, on sale $2.99 (regular price $4.99)
ONE COCA-COLA 2L BOTTLE, on sale $1.25 (regular price $2.19)
ONE DULCOGAS 18 CT, regular price $5.79
ONE GOYA VANILLA WAFERS, on clearance $0.15 (regular price $1.49)
Get $10 CVS Cash Card when you buy $30 of participating items (including Diet Mtn Dew 12-packs, Nestle Pure Life 24-packs and Coca-Cola 2L bottles)
Used one $6/$30 CVS store coupon sent via email last week to select cardholders
and used one $3/1 DulcoGas CVS printable store coupon
and used one $3/1 DulcoGas printable manufacturer’s coupon (preclipped)
Price at Register: $18.14, but received $10 CVS Cash Card

For the two transactions, I paid $26.14, but received a $10 CVS Cash Card, making my final cost $16.14 for everything.

Total Retail Value of All Merchandise: $70.36
Net Price Paid for Everything: $16.14
Savings Rate (excluding tax): 77.1%

  1. NESTLE PURE LIFE WATER 24-PACKS is $2.88 in my store.

    • Steve Pinski says:

Ahhh cool. Well if you copy my deal you get to jam an extra candy bar or 2L bottle on the cheap 🙂

      • i already got 5 of NESTLE PURE LIFE WATER 24-PACKS and im planning to get some more! lol! good deal!

        • Steve Pinski says:

Very nice! Stephanie’s card only has $27.80 until next reward. I’m thinking we might go pick up six more 12-packs of Dew and four more cases of water. Pay about $28, but get $10 ECB = $18 for everything. If they do something like give her another $6 off $30, then we’ll toss in an extra DulcoGas freebie and pay a net of around $12 for everything (and be set on H2O and Dew for a LONG time!)

          • I have a question: If i want to get a deal with my husbands CVS card Can i use my $10 cash card issued with my CVS card ?

          • Steve Pinski says:

Yes. I used a cash card earned on my card yesterday to help pay for the transactions on Stephanie’s card.

          • Good! Thank you. Yesterday i received an invitation via email from CVS for this Saturday from 11am to 4pm to get free samples and coupons! Did u receive it?

          • Steve Pinski says:

            I have not 🙁
