CVS 5/17 (Steve) – Paid $2.45 for $82.79 of Merchandise (97.0% Saved)

cvs-0517I had a FANTASTIC trip to CVS today! I don’t even have a baby in the house and I bought diapers. I should have no trouble finding a friend that will take them off my hands and at this price I couldn’t pass the deal up. This is a week at CVS that nobody should miss.

Here’s what I bought, along with the coupons used:

ONE HUGGIES LITTLE MOVERS DIAPERS SIZE 3, on sale $8.99 (regular price $11.99)
ONE HUGGIES LITTLE MOVERS DIAPERS SIZE 4, on sale $8.99 (regular price $11.99)
ONE HUGGIES LITTLE MOVERS DIAPERS SIZE 5, on sale $8.99 (regular price $11.99)

Get $10 Extra Bucks when you buy $30 of select Huggies ($29.97 will trigger)
Get $3 cashback from Ibotta for buying three UNIQUE Kimberly-Clark products (Wipes must larger than 56 ct to qualify, so make sure you get three different diaper packs)
The $3 Ibotta rebate listed above also completed my Level 2 Teamwork Bonus for May and I earned an extra $3 bonus from Ibotta
Used one $2/$10 Huggies Purchase CVS printable store coupon
and used three $3/1 Huggies Little Movers or Snugglers Diapers printable manufacturer’s coupons (two prints per browser; must share to get this value) – even though the coupon page says this has a size restriction, it DOES NOT print with one!
and used one $0.50/1 Huggies Wipes printable manufacturer’s coupon (preclipped/zip 03103) – has Family Dollar logo, so your store might not take it; mine takes them
Price at Register: $18.47, but received $10 Extra Bucks and $6 total cashback from Ibotta
NET PRICE FOR ALL: $2.47 (like paying $0.82 per pack of diapers and scoring FREE wipes!)
***If you have a MobiSave account, there’s an extra $2 cashback offer for Huggies Diapers, so you can get an even better deal!

To change zip codes to print the Huggies Wipes coupon, go here and change your zip to the one listed with the coupon link above. Use the box on the right side of the page and enter your zip. Click on the arrow to submit the zip code change. Then come back here and click our preclipped link to the coupon and you should see it right away.

ONE PLAYTEX SPORT TAMPONS COMBO 36 CT, on sale $7.99 (regular price $8.99)
***My store didn’t have the tampons/liners or tampons/pads “combo packs,” but I asked for a ruling and since there were two different products inside AND because they didn’t carry the other products, they felt these were the “combo” packs they sold at this store since the ad specified them. YMMV on this one if your store doesn’t carry the right product.
Get $3 Extra Bucks for buying select Playtex product
Used one $2/1 Playtex Sport CVS Store Coupon printable
and used one $3/1 Playtex Sport Pads, Liners or Combo Pack (exc 16 ct or 18 ct pad and 20 ct liner) printable (preclipped)

***Note that the Extra Bucks did not print automatically. My cashier had to force the ECB to print after my transaction.

TWO SCRUBBING BUBBLES TOILET GELS 6 CT, on sale 2/$6.50 (regular price $4.99)
Get $3 Extra Bucks when you buy two Windex, Shout or Scrubbing Bubbles

  1. Have you ever forgotten to bring a coupon with you and then tried to bring back a coupon with your receipt to get the value refunded at CVS? I thought they would do it. That happened to me this morning (forgot the CVS playtex coupon) and the shift manager said it would be no problem. However, when I tried to come back later the store manager refused. Then he threw out my receipt so I can’t even return the item. I’m so ticked. This warrants a call to corporate tomorrow, I do believe.

    • Steve Pinski says:

That is messed up that they through away YOUR receipt. That wasn’t his to do with once your purchase was finalized. You absolutely should call their corporate office. I don’t think they are compelled to allow the coupon, but throwing away the receipt is out of line.

      • Thanks for your thoughts, Steve. I agree. At the very least if I still had my receipt I could have just returned the whole transaction and re-purchased. I’ll let you know if I get a response from corporate.

        • Steve Pinski says:

You’re welcome! Please do let us know what they say. I think keeping your receipt and throwing it away was a very unprofessional thing to do.

  2. it seems like the $3 huggies is for 48ct and those are below 48ct

  3. my mistake, when you print it doesn’t say the size 🙂

    • Monica Bragg says:

That’s what he told me as well. When it prints it doesn’t have any exclusions listed on it.

  4. Steve do you have Facebook. I have my Ibotta connected with Facebook therefore any friend that has it I ear from them as well. I am on level 3 and have had to do it all by myself. If you have Ibotta connected through FB let me know and I will add you that way we can help each other with the teamwork. Like I said I have had to do both levels so far on my own and have $5 toward level 3.

  5. I have a $5 off $30 in diapers, can I do the de with $29.97 or so I have to go over $30 for the $5 off ?

    • Monica Bragg says:

With the CVS coupons you have to reach the $30 mark in order to use them, they are not like ECBs.

  6. it appears the playtex and huggies CVS coupons are gone.

  7. Lorraine says:

This week, 5/17 CVS has M&Ms 2/$6 with a CVS $2 off coupon, plus there is also a $1/2 mfg coupon. Walgreens has a similar offer 2/$5 with a $1 in-store coupon, plus the $1 mfg coupon. In addition there is also a deal for a free $12 movie ticket if you buy 4. Go to movieoffer.m& I have the $1/2 coupon from the RedPlum flyer; wish I could find a second mfg coupon.

  8. I scored!
Ran to CVS to pick up the diapers deal on lunch.. For some reason I had alot of coupons on my cvs card. I knew I had 10 ecb to use so I knew I would be paying less than 10 oop but getting $10 back. The extra coupons on my card were not for diapers or anything baby related- although I did have a $5/25 diaper purchase q. So i got 3 packs diapers and 1 wipes and scanned my card and the cashier said ” wow you can get these for basically free.I asked how and she said you see all those green blocks? that means I can apply those to your order. ” I said no because I am not purchasing any of those items ( dog food, make-up, food, ect) she said no our manager told us to inform our customers that as long as they come up green or yellow we can apply them.

Not sure if that is the correct way to do things- and I asked several times just to make sure she was correct. She would not let me not use the q’s.
So my total oop was 2.98 for 3 packs of diapers and 1 wipes. but I got back 10.00 ecb and 3 ibotta rebate.
guess you can call this blessed!

  9. Oliveira says:

I was late for my Playtex deal, the CVS coupon is gone, but thanks for your tip, I will have to print it right away after your note.

  10. I got the diapers, wipes, playtex pads, 2 bags of m&ms, a bottle of the Nivea in shower lotion, and a small bottle of aveeno lotion for 20.67 out of pocket with my 10 dollars off of 40 as well as the other coupons. I got 13 ECBs back as well as 3 dollar rebate from Ibotta and 2.50 from mobisave. So only about 2 bucks net!

  11. Just an update to my CVS experience with the rude manager. About 3 days after calling corporate I received a call, but it was from the manager himself, not from corporate. He stated he was “just protecting company assets…. but if I REALLY wanted to come back with my coupons, I could”. Not really the person I wanted to hear from. I just won’t go back to this store in the future
