Whole Foods and Publix GreenWise (Naomi) November 14 Spent $21.47 on $51.39 Worth of Merchandise. Saved $59%

Yesterday I realized that I had not yet taken the time to price check the items I buy frequently between Whole Foods and Publix GreenWise (They have a better price than my local Publix on most organics and gluten free stuff) so I ran to Whole Foods and Publix before work to find out Whole Foods is cheaper on almost everything, though Publix has better (or at least better advertised) sales. This makes the rumors of a Whole Foods coming early next year to the upper pinellas county area even more enticing. So today my trip is a mix between the two stores. Most of the shelf stable stuff I needed does not go on sale, and it is all organic or gluten free so my savings rate isn’t all that high, but I would gladly save the 59% over paying full price!

I went shopping at Whole Foods yesterday before work to use up some of my expiring Cascadian Farms printables and grab a couple more Whole Foods Market coupon books. They will be out of stores on May 1st but the expiration of the coupons isn’t until the end of the month. Some items below may not be pictured because they were either ingested or left at work snacks. The organic and gluten free stuff really bump the spending up, but I still think I got a pretty good haul for $60 at Whole Foods. I misplaced my receipt so I don’t have the tax information calculated in.

Whole Foods 4/18 (Naomi) Spent $33.53 on $65.87 worth of merchandise 49.1% savings

I ran into Whole Foods today to take advantage of the sale on the Kerrygold Butter and the Lakewood Juices and because I really wanted to make an organic chocolate cream pie. That said, I would have done a lot better if I hadn’t wanted to make a pie and if I didn’t need Tomato soup for dinner, because the Wolfgang Puck deal is better at Publix but not better enough to constitute another drive across town. By the way, the pie turned out great, definitely worth paying full price for the chocolate items.
