I was thumbing through my Smart Source insert in today’s newspaper, hunting for unexpected regional coupons, when I stumbled on some great Dollar General deals that can be used at Dollar General, or price-matched at Walmart or Target. The first deal I spotted was on Libby’s canned vegetables, which can be bought for as low as $0.15 per can with a newspaper coupon. Here’s how the deal works:
BUY FOUR LIBBY’S CANNED VEGETABLES, $0.40 sale price (through Wednesday, 11/23)
Use one $1/4 Libby’s Vegetables coupon, RP insert 11/13/11 (exp. 3/31/12) or RP 8/28/11
(Note that the Libby’s coupons were regional. You may have them in one insert, both inserts, or neither.)
FINAL COST: $0.15 per can ($0.60 for all four cans!)
Also, Paul at I Heart the Mart (a site that covers Walmart) has done some coupon matchups on the Dollar General ad. You can use these matchups to shop at DG or price-match at Walmart or Target. You can see his matchups here. In particular, I like the Oreo, Country Crock, and Schick coupon deals.
