Publix Shoppers: Larabars as low as 42 cents each at Publix later this week with printable coupon stack!

If you’ve been following the site for some time, you know how much I like Larabars. I bought a ton of them from Vitacost with my refer-a-friend credits a few months back. I highly recommend the Coconut Cream Pie, Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip and Chocolate Coconut Chew. The Chocolate Hazelnut Jocalat bars are pretty good too. If you haven’t tried these, but like dates, you should give them a shot. (And if you hate dates, forget it.) Here’s the link to the new manufacturer coupon:

$0.75/3 Larabar, Uber or Jocalat Bars manufacturer coupon (zip 33712)

Starting Wednesday or Thursday, depending on when your Publix ad changes, Larabars will be on sale for $1 each. We have a printable manufacturer coupon, plus there’s a printable Whole Foods coupon you can stack if your Publix considers them a competitor. Here’s the scenario:

BUY THREE LARABARS, on sale $1 each
Use one $1/3 Larabar, Uber or Jocalat Bar Whole Foods printable (if your store accepts these)
and use one $0.75/3 Larabar, Uber or Jocalat Bars manufacturer coupons (zip 33712)
NET PRICE (if Whole Foods is a competitor): $1.25 (or 42 cents each!)
NET PRICE (if Whole Foods is not accepted): $2.25 (or 75 cents each!)

Both scenarios are good prices for this product.

I’ve just had my first Larabar and they are AWESOME (and the healthiest packaged food ever!) Plus there’s an incredible deal on them too!

There’s a great deal on Larabars at Publix and I’m going to give you the scenario later in the post, but I’m ready to write a post that isn’t just about a deal.

In my house there are two diets going on right now:

The roommate is a long-term low-carb dieter and she does great with it. Her diet consists mainly of meat, eggs, vegetables, pork rinds, almonds, diet soda and (hehehe) liquor.

My diet is a little different, although we have some things in common. I recently started working out with a personal trainer a few times a week and he has me on a (relatively) low calorie diet. I’m capped at about 2000 calories, although I usually end up at about 1300-1700 per day, but I have more flexibility with my diet. I tend to have lean meats and fish, vegetables, nuts, lower sugar cereals, low fat milk (in cereal only), yogurt, limited bread and tons of almonds. Low fat mayo and Miracle Whip Light are my saviors. If I behave properly, I can plan a bad meal once in a while or have some peanut butter and jelly ;) I’m down about 11 pounds in just over two weeks, but I already feel better. Even with the extra bike rides, training sessions and spin classes, I feel more productive and I’m getting more work done.

If you’ve noticed, my shopping trips have changed a lot in the last few weeks and when we get sweets, I send them to work with my roommate the next morning!

Now here’s what Larabars come into play…

I stopped at Publix tonight and picked up a few things. (I’ll be writing about the trip a little later.) Right before I left for the store, I stumbled on a deal for Larabars and I had never tried them. When I picked up one at the store today, I was shocked to read the label. Most of them are higher in calories than I’d like (about 200 per bar), but they are so worth it. Not only are they compatible with just about every lifestyle (except my roommate’s low carb one), there are absolutely no junk ingredients at all. NONE! And these bars are gluten free, dairy free, soy free, non-gmo, vegan and kosher. WOW!

I bought four bars tonight and here are the ingredient lists for them:

Apple Pie Larabar: Dates, Almonds, Unsweetened Apples, Walnuts, Raisins and Cinnamon
Cashew Cookie Larabar: Cashews and Dates
Peanut Butter Cookie Larabar: Dates, Peanuts and Sea Salt
Blue Berry Muffin Larabar: Dates, Cashews, Unsweetened Blueberries, Blueberry Juice Concentrate, Lemon Juice Concentrate and Vanilla Extract

I’ve tried the Apple Pie Larabar and it is amazing, especially for a person who has a sweet tooth but is staying away from the corn syrupy goodness that is so bad for a person!

The reason why I picked up the Larabars? Check out this scenario at Publix:

BUY FOUR LARABARS, on sale 4/$5
Use two $1/2 Larabars, Publix Best Meals Happen at Home store coupon
and use one $1/4 Larabar printable manufacturer coupon (zip 33712)
NET PRICE: $2 (or 50 cents each!)

Now I don’t know the shelf price at Whole Foods, but their March coupons (still valid through April) include a $1/2 Larabar coupon that you can stack with the manufacturer coupon as well, so you should be able to get a good deal even if you don’t live somewhere with Publix stores.

So I’m probably going to try some new flavors other than the ones I’ve already bought. Have any of you tried Larabars too? If so, tell me about the other flavors in the comments!
