I wasn’t planning on buying anything at CVS today. I just stopped in to scan my Extra Care Bucks card but I stumbled on a few deals. As I mentioned in a post about an hour ago, the Red Coupon Machine gave me a $3/1 Clear Shampoo or Conditioner coupon which gave me a moneymaker when I found travel size bottles. In addition, a huge cosmetics clearance had started.

Because we have a nice $2/1 Almay Face Product coupon in the 11/18 SS newspaper insert, I decided to gamble a little on a few bottles of makeup that were 75% off. Even though the ad says you don’t get ECBs on clearance items, sometimes that’s not the case. This week you get $5 ECBs when you buy two Almay cosmetics. Unfortunately the ad was right this time and the ECBs didn’t print. (I like being the guinea pig for you guys.) Regardless, I saved so much it was worth the gamble to see if Stephanie (the roommate) wants either of these. They were over 90% off after coupon. If she can’t use them, I’ll find someone else who will or I will donate them.
