Walgreens 5/16 – PROFIT $5.94 on $11.94 of Merchandise (149.7% Saved)

I made a quick stop into Walgreens yesterday, but I can’t show you a picture of everything today because some of it has been consumed ;)

I was hoping to find the Raspberry Pomegranate Starbucks Refreshers, but they still only had Strawberry Lemonade. I tried it again and it didn’t seem as bad the second time. In fact, I drank one last night and one this morning, and that’s why there are only four in the picture.

I did six identical transactions: Buy one Starbucks Refresher and use a FREE product coupon from the 4/29 Pepsi Moments to Save insert. I paid 7 cents of sales tax, but received a Register Reward for 99 cents each time. Excluding the sales tax, I made a $5.94 profit :)

Two more NEW Dial Hand Soap & Bar Soap printable coupons (Both are BOGO at Walgreens right now!)

My friend Cindy will be happy to see this since she just commented yesterday that she went back to get more Dial Hand Soap coupons and they were gone. We now have two new printable coupons for the Dial Hand Soap and Dial Bar Soap. Both products are currently on sale BOGO at Walgreens, plus Target has a price cut on the hand soap right now. Grab these now if interested because they will probably go fast again. (Note that these are NEW coupons, so you should have no problem printing them, even if you printed the other coupons earlier.)

$1.50/2 Magnum Ice Cream Bar coupon still available (plus update with current Walgreens sale scenario!)

Again, in case you missed this in yesterday’s flurry of printable coupons, we have a new $1.50/2 Magnum Ice Cream Bars Multipacks printable coupon. I also have some great news for you that I didn’t realize yesterday…these are currently on sale at Walgreens through Saturday 5/19! Here’s the scenario:

New Walgreens Coupon Booklet – “Skin Care Guide”

Next time you are in Walgreens, be on the lookout for a great new booklet called “Skin Care Guide.” There are eight Skin Care Coupons for items that we see on sale a lot this time of year. Three HOT Walgreens updates – Free Wet ‘n Wild products, Free Floss and Cheap Hefty Slider Bags!

I have a few really good Walgreens updates for you this evening that will score you some cheap or free products!

First, if you were lucky enough to get the $1/1 Wet ‘n Wild regional coupon in your 5/13 RP newspaper insert, then you will be able to score some free products at Walgreens. Note that your cashier may need to adjust the coupon value to 99 cents to get it to go through. (If your store is stubborn about adjusting coupons, buy one more product then the number of coupons used and you shouldn’t have any beepage.) Here’s your scenario:

I stopped in Walgreens a little after midnight because I was awake and I wanted to make sure I picked up a few of the Starbucks Refreshers flavor I like, Raspberry Pomegranate. I already pitched my receipts, so I just included the sale price as its value in the savings percentage. Here’s what I bought, along with the coupons used.

Walgreens Shopping Scenario for Beginners 5/13-5/19

To be honest, I’m not too crazy about this scenario. I’m really, really tired of buying Nice! Gelatin, so I’m thinking that I may do my deals a bit differently. I’m not as concerned about out-of-pocket expense, as long as I’m getting a good price for what I buy. Despite that, I know a lot of you like to (or in some cases, need to) keep the out-of-pocket down, so I’ve designed this scenario with that in mind. (If you are a more advanced shopper and don’t mind the higher out-of-pocket expense, I highly recommend that you rework the scenarios for what you want to buy and use your Starbucks RRs in another week when we have better fillers.)

There are several other borderline deals that may be stock-up prices for you. You may want to check the full list of deals here and adjust this scenario accordingly.

If you did last week’s scenario I posted, then you finished the week with $3.50 in Register Rewards (one $2 & one $1.50.) Here’s what I came up with for this week:

What’s FREE (or almost free) at Walgreens 5/13-5/19

I think there are a lot of decent deals if you’re running low on things, but there are only a couple of great deals. I’m looking forward to finally using my Starbucks coupons! There are several opportunities to pick up deals that you missed earlier. Also, note the expiration dates on the coupons. A few of these deals can only be done on Sunday 5/13. Here are the best deals from the 5/13 Walgreens weekly ad as I see them.

THE MONEYMAKERS:
MONEYMAKER STARBUCKS REFRESHERS – Starbucks Refreshers will be on sale for 99 cents and there will be a Register Reward printing for 99 cents when you buy one, making them free. We also had a FREE Starbucks Refreshers coupon in the 4/29 Pepsi Moments to Save newspaper insert. Use the coupon to pay nothing, but get back the Register Reward for a 99-cent moneymaker! (Note that the coupon expires 5/16, so use it early in the week!)

MONEYMAKER DEPEND REAL FIT OR SILHOUETTE 3 CT – These are a monthly deal. They are on sale for $4.49 with a $3.50 Register Reward printing at checkout. There is a printable coupon on the Depend web site, but it may print as either a $2/2 coupon or a $2/1 coupon and you never know what you’re going to get. There was also a $1.50/1 coupon in the 4/15 SS newspaper insert. Use either the $2/1 printable or the $1.50/1 coupon. Pay as low as $2.49 and get back $3.50 in Register Rewards. Up to $1.01 moneymaker!

THE FREEBIES:
FREE AQUAFRESH KIDS TOOTHPASTE – Aquafresh Kids Toothpaste 4.6 oz will be on sale for 99 cents. There was a $1/1 coupon in the 4/15 RP newspaper insert, making these free after coupon. (Note: Your cashier will need to adjust the coupon value to 99 cents.)

FREE NATURELIEF 30 CT OR MIDNITE FOR MENOPAUSE 28 CT – Both products will be on sale for $5.99 with a $4.99 Register Reward (probably $5) printing at checkout. There were $1/1 Naturelief coupons in the 11/6/11, 1/15 and 3/11 SS newspaper inserts and the same inserts also had $1/1 Midnite for Menopause coupons. We are also expecting a $1/1 Midnite for Menopause coupon in the 5/13 SS newspaper insert. Use any of these coupons to pay just $4.99 and get $4.99 (or $5) back in Register Rewards, making these free.

CHEAP DEALS AT WALGREENS STARTING 5/13:
CHEAP SOFTSOAP BODY WASH (SUNDAY ONLY!) – Softsoap Body Wash 15 or 18 oz will be on sale 2/$6 with a $3 Register Reward printing at checkout. There was a $0.75/1 coupon in the 4/15 SS newspaper insert, but it expires on Sunday 5/13. Buy two and use two $0.75/1 coupons. Pay $4.50 and get $3 back in Register Rewards. Net price is $1.50 (or 75 cents each!)

CHEAP U BY KOTEX SLEEK TAMPONS – The U by Kotex Sleek Tampons monthly deal continues. The 18 ct packages will continue to be $3.99 with a $3 Register Reward printing at checkout. You can get a $0.25/1 printable coupon here (but you have to play the game.) Buy one and use a $0.25/1 printable. Pay $3.74 and get $3 back in Register Rewards, for a net price of 74 cents. (If I pick these up again, I will probably not print the coupon and save the ink and the need for a filler item in my transaction.)

CHEAP COLGATE OPTIC WHITE TOOTHPASTE (SUNDAY ONLY!) – This deal is only worth doing if you are absolutely in love with Colgate Optic White Toothpaste (and because the higher value coupons are about to expire.) The 4 oz tubes will be on sale 2/$7 and there’s a $3 Register Reward printing when you buy two. There were $1/1 coupons in the 4/15 SS newspaper insert but they expire on Sunday. Buy two and use two $1/1 coupons. Pay $5 and get $3 back in Register Rewards. Net price is $2 (or $1 each!)

CHEAP ALL LAUNDRY DETERGENT – This deal isn’t really “cheap” but it’s not too bad when you figure it out on a per-load basis. The All Detergent 84 or 96 loads will be on sale for $9.99 with a $1 Register Reward printing at checkout. There was a $1/1 coupon in the 4/1 RP newspaper insert and there’s a $1/1 printable coupon here. Use the coupon to make it only $8.99 and then get $1 back in Register Rewards. Net price is $7.99 (or 8 cents per load on the 96 load bottle.)

CHEAP BLUE DIAMOND ALMONDS - Note that this deal is better at Publix. The 6 oz cans will be on sale BOGO $3.79. We are expecting a $0.60/2 coupon in the 5/13 SS newspaper insert. Buy two and use the $0.60/2 coupon to pay $3.19 (or $1.59 each!)

CHEAP KRAFT MAYO & MIRACLE WHIP – Kraft Mayo and Miracle Whip 30 oz will be on sale for $2.99. We are expecting a $0.55/1 coupon in the 5/13 SS newspaper insert. Use it to pay $2.44 per bottle – not a bad price if you need it now.

CHEAP BUMBLE BEE TUNA AND CHICKEN – Bumble Bee Chunk White Albacore 5 oz or Chunk Light Pouches 2.5 oz will be on sale for 99 cents with an in ad coupon. There’s a $1/2 printable coupon on Recyclebank. Buy two and use the coupon to pay 49 cents each. Bumble Bee Canned Chicken 5 oz will also be on sale for $1.29. Buy two and use the $1/2 printable coupon from Recyclebank to pay 79 cents each.

CHEAP DOVE CHOCOLATE SINGLES – Dove candy will be on sale 2/$1. Use the $0.50/2 printable coupon available here (zip 33712) to pay 50 cents for two (or 25 cents each.)

CHEAP WALGREENS OMEPRAZOLE – The 42 ct boxes will be on sale for $18.99 with a $6 Register Reward printing on checkout. Net price is $12.99, which is a great price for a 42 ct box.

CHEAP DIAL HAND SOAP, BODY WASH AND BAR SOAP – All of these items will be on sale BOGO. We have $3/6 Dial Hand Soap, $2/2 Dial Body Wash and $2/2 Dial Bar Soap 8-pack printable coupons in zip 90210. The hand soaps run $2.89 at my store (but some stores have these on clearance at $1.39;) body wash is $5.99; bar soap 8-packs are $7.99. Deal scenarios are the following: Buy six hand soaps at BOGO $2.89 and use a $3/6 coupon. Pay $5.67 (or 94 cents each.) Buy two body washes and use a $2/2 coupon. Pay $3.99 (or $1.99 each.) Buy two Bar Soap 8-packs and use a $2/2 coupon. Pay $5.99 (or $2.99 each.)

CHEAP RIGHT GUARD OR DRY IDEA DEODORANT – Both Right Guard and Dry Idea Deodorants will be on sale BOGO. There were $2/2 printable coupons for both products that are no longer available and there were also $1/1 Right Guard coupons that are no longer available too. There was also a $2/2 Right Guard coupon in the 4/15 RP newspaper insert (expires SUNDAY 5/13.) I am not sure on the Dry Idea pricing, but the Right Guard products run $4.49 (check for clearance.) Buy two Right Guards on sale BOGO $4.49 and use a $2/2 or two $1/1 coupons. Pay $2.49 (or $1.24 each!)

CHEAP SCHICK HYDRO SHAVE GEL – Higher than a stock-up price, but I’m listing it just in case you need it now. Schick Hydro Shave Gel will be on sale for $1.99. There was a $0.75/1 coupon in the 4/22 SS newspaper insert. Net price is $1.24.

CHEAP SKINTIMATE SHAVE GEL OR CREAM – Also higher than a stock-up price, but I’m listing it just in case you need it now. These will be on sale for $1.99 and there was a $0.55/1 coupon in the 4/22 SS newspaper insert. We are also expecting another $0.55/1 coupon in the 5/13 SS newspaper insert. Net price is $1.44.

CHEAP PAMPERS WIPES – Again, not a stock-up price, but a good deal if you need it now. Pampers Wipes 60-72 ct will be on sale for $2.49. Use the $0.75/1 printable coupon here to pay $1.74.

CHEAP PUREX LAUNDRY DETERGENT – Purex Laundry Detergent 2X Liquid 33 loads or Ultra Packs 18 ct will be on sale for $2.49. We are expecting a $0.50/1 coupon in the 5/13 RP newspaper insert. Net price is $1.99, which is an ok price for Purex if you need it now.

CHEAP GAIN DISH LIQUID – The 9 oz bottles will be on sale for 99 cents. We are expecting a $0.50/1 coupon in the 5/13 P&G newspaper insert. Net price is $0.49 each.

More Dial Hand Soap & Bar Soap pricing info for new printable coupons and Walgreens BOGO starting Sunday

I did some price-checking at Walgreens tonight on the Dial products since these will be BOGO in the new sale. In case you missed them earlier, there are the printable coupons that were new this morning:

$2/2 Dial Bar Soap 8 bar pack or larger (zip 90210)
$3/6 Dial Liquid Hand Soap (zip 90210)

The Dial Bar Soap 8-pack is $7.99 at my store. So if you buy two (on sale BOGO starting Sunday) and use a $2/2 coupon the total would be $5.99 (or $2.99 per 8 pack.) That comes out to 37 cents per bar, which is a pretty good deal.

The Dial Complete Foaming Hand Soap 7.5 oz is $2.89 at my store. So if you buy six (on sale BOGO starting Sunday) and use a $3/6 coupon the total would be $5.67 (or 94 cents each.) That’s not too bad for their high end item.

Now I did see a post somewhere else today (can’t remember where offhand) that a store had the hand soaps on clearance for $1.39. If that’s the case, these will only be 19 cents each after the BOGO sale when you buy six.

Also, if we’re lucky and the 9.375 oz bottles of hand soap are included in the BOGO, they only sell for $1.89 each at my store, so just 44 cents each after BOGO sale and coupon when you buy six.

Finally, if you’re interested in the Dial Body Wash, there’s still a $2/2 printable coupon here (zip 90210) and it will make them $3.99 for two (or $1.99 each) with the BOGO sale and coupon.

Walgreens Paid $4.58 on $23.48 of Merchandise (80.5% Saved)

I could have bought more than this at Walgreens, but my store was down to the last few Lanacanes and Witch Hazels, so I decided to have mercy on my fellow shoppers ;) With the Starbucks Refreshers moneymaker coming this Sunday I figured I would have plenty of Register Rewards, so I didn’t mind spending a few today.

Vegas (my dog) just got a new dog house a few weeks ago and her favorite blanket has been placed inside it, so I decided to pick her up a dog bed that was on sale since we also have the Friends & Family discount today. Now she can lay on her bed when she’s not in her house.
