We have hot deals on Complete and Revitalens Multipurpose Solution over at Walgreens. You can actually get some overage if you have other items in your order to absorb it. For example, I recommend adding one of those M&M’s Caramel Sharing Size that are free after Register Rewards. To get overage, you MUST scan you manufacturer’s coupons FIRST and your Walgreens store coupon LAST. If you do it in reverse order, your second item will already be $0 before you use the manufacturer’s coupon.

Here are your moneymaker scenarios with the M&M’s added to absorb the overage…

UPDATE: I found slightly lower prices at my store. Also, I bought four Blink and four Complete. The register only took one newspaper coupon and beeped on the other seven coupons. My cosmetics cashier had to enter those other seven coupons manually at the end.

  1. My second coupon beeped too but they did not manually enter it. It was after the manager was called over he read the coupon and said it says ONE COUPON PER PERSON. I used $2 in points because I needed the stuff and it was still an awesome price.

  2. Done exactly as stated above. 2nd $3 MQ beeped she entered it manually. Then the IVC beeped and wouldn’t work at all. “Huge eye roll 🙄 ” tried telling me it was because I couldn’t use both store coupon and MQ. Hahahahha sorry been couponing for over 10 years now. Then she begrudgingly took a $5 store coupon off. Not twice only once. I paid and left because it just wasn’t worth it. Still a decent price, however I would have paid less just buying them in Singles and not taking advantage of the bogo 50%. No worries keep on trucking along.

    • Steve Pinski says:

If she manually entered a $3 coupon before she scanned your IVC, I know your problem. As soon as they manually enter a coupon, they can’t scan any more Walgreens coupons. The register will reject them all. Everything has to be done manually at that point. If there’s a coupon that has to be done manually, they must do it at the end of the transaction after you have scanned all your other coupons. Once even one coupon is entered manually, there’s no way to scan an IVC and have it apply to the order.

I learned this the hard way a while back. I wrote about it in one of my trips when we had to ring up the entire order again because of this.

        • Hmmmm interesting, the 2nd $3/1 MQ was definitely a beeper. Oh well, no worries. I went back yesterday too store that had the revitalens for $9.49 (the first store they were $10.79😬) so I grabbed two more separately and paid $1.49. Still a great price.

  3. You are lucky if your walgreens will accept printed coupons. Mine in west central FL won’t. I was told that this is manager’s discretion. Several stores have told me they stopped taking “internet coupons” because of fraud. Apparently some people decided to spoil it for everyone else by editing coupon images and changing the coupon values, so these stores decided to stop taking any of them, as a blanket policy.

I personally hate the way their balance points policy works with the ‘if you redeem points on this transaction, these purchases do not earn points’ process.
