NEVER MISS A HOT DEAL! SUBSCRIBE TO OUR DAILY EMAIL NEWSLETTER!

I had an AWESOME trip to CVS very early this morning. I had to be a bit ambitious, because I had some Extra Bucks due to expire this week. I got up early and snagged everything I was hoping to get. I used a 20% off regular price items CVS home mailed coupon on the transaction for the second card. It deducted from all the Almay products and the Oral-B Toothbrushes value pack.

My second transaction had more than enough Beauty Club qualifying items, so I will receive a $5 Extra Bucks award from the Red Coupon Machine when I shop next week. I’ve included those $5 of savings in the final statistics for this shopping trip.

There were two different CVS cards used on this shopping trip. That’s why we have two transactions listed here.

  1. Ha, ha, Steve! What do you do with all those eye shadows?

  2. the SCOTT EXTRA SOFT BATH TISSUE coupon is not showing 🙁

    • Steve Pinski says:

The same coupon was in 3/12 SS too, so you may have some there.

      • As an FYI – there is a $.50 rebate on Checkout 51 for the Scott toilet paper too (mine does not stipulate that “coupons cannot be used”)

        Hope that helps 🙂

        • Steve Pinski says:

          Weird. Mine excludes coupons.

          • Well……………after I submitted mine, I went back and looked. At the very, very, very bottom…..it does indicate that it cannot be used with any other coupon.
But……they gave me the credit for it 🙂

(they also gave me credit for the 2 Scott paper towels that I used coupons on at Walmart. I price matched them to Walgreen’s at Walmart, so I could also take advantage of a $1.00 IBOTTA offer)

Now that is weird, as the receipt clearly shows the coupon right under the product purchased (unlike the CVS receipts).
It’s worth a try……..all they can do is deny it, right (LOL)

          • Steve Pinski says:

Hahahah I’m not going to submit it, but it would definitely be their fault if they approved it if I did, because right under my Scott Bath Tissue it mentions that they applied a $2/$11 Toilet Paper coupon hahahahahaha

  3. I received an awesome deal through Groupon, hopefully others did as well: Get a $20 CVS gift card for only $10. You just print it out and use in store.

  4. Question for you! Our CVS has changed to the 2 week ads. Is this a permanent thing for CVS? I so hope it will change back, NONE of the deals were included at my CVS. Ugh.

    • Steve Pinski says:

I am not sure. I don’t live in an area that was affected by the two week ads, so I don’t have anyone to ask and I haven’t read anything about it.

  5. Christie says:

I’m pretty sure that you were with me at one point stating that you did not like that brand toilet paper! Just curious, is it better now or does that go in the donation bin too? 🙂

    • Steve Pinski says:

The Scott “Extra Soft” product isn’t that bad. If a family member asks for TP, it will be the package I go to first. We definitely prefer Charmin, Angel Soft and Cottonelle here. Now….I would NEVER use the Scott 1000 sheet product. That’s like the TP in an airport restroom. No thanks.

  6. I live in an area with the 2 weeks ad as well. I was told they will be doing this until at least July. I hope that’s not true. Also, I can drive 15 mins to another state & get the weekly deals.

    • Steve Pinski says:

Ewwwww. that’s terrible if they’re going to do that for the next four months. I hope it’s a complete failure, because that would stink if they did that nationally.
