I had an awesome CVS shopping trip! I received a 25% off regular price items total purchase coupon in the mail recently. It was due to expire today, so I decided to make the most of it.

My roommate, Stephanie, came along for the trip. When we have this much free makeup, she can’t leave it up to me to guess what she wants. Here’s what we bought, along with the coupons used…

  1. That was great.

  2. So how do you get away with doing more than two transactions per visit? There are two CVS in a two mile radius of were I live. And they will not let you do more than two transactions per visit.

    • Steve Pinski says:

I have never had a store limit my transactions. However, I generally do try to shop when they’re not busy. My store and its cashiers are pretty friendly.

    • To be honest, I’ve done up to 8 in one trip. Never had them tell me I couldn’t, but after recent disappointing trips, like being charged for the following weeks prices voiding $60.00 of ECB at 5:30 pm on a Saturday, its hard to say. My guess is that a manager brought it up at a district meeting and those stores in that specific chain created the policy themselves. Do what I did, send n email or a letter to corporate office complaining. I don’t think that they want to hear that customers are being turned away, and services are being refused.
I know exactly how you feel, like your not appreciated and down right p–sed

  3. I don’t understand how you get so lucky with your percentage off store coupons!!! I NEVER get anything through snail mail or e-mail except for on-line purchases which are of no use!

    • Steve Pinski says:

I don’t understand either. I was telling Maureen last night that I have one really old card that gets percentage coupons all the time, but absolutely no CRTs other than advertised ones. Our other card gets CRTS but no email percentage/dollars off coupons. It’s strange.

  4. Jennifer F says:

Ive never had a problem with having any type of limits. If there is a coupon limit we just break it up into transactions. Just about every CVS I go to does this. They are just being very stubborn I would try a different CVS until you find one that will work with you Donna.CVS will agree when you call the number they are there to work with you not limit you.Good Luck.Steve, I did about every transaction you did except for Wet N Wild. I have so much of it, I really need to donate it so I can continue to do money makers. I had about 12 Revlon BOGOF coupons left and I gave them to the girls at CVS. With their discount they only paid about 2.xx for their purchases. I was very happy they got to use them.

    • Steve Pinski says:

I gave my last two Revlon coupons to my cashier too. We could’ve bought more, but I didn’t want to spend more out of pocket. I figured she’d enjoy using the coupons more anyways.

  5. I got Lucky for once. Received a 30% off and is good until 2/9/17. I never get anything from them.2 weeks ago I sent an long letter complaining that they have never sent me any of the deals I se posted. They must be listening because I’ve received a 30% off for the past 2 weeks. I noticed that if you load the offers to your card on the last day to print, they extend the validation dates by 4 days. Not a science, but seems to be a pattern so far.

  6. Did you see the great Maxwell House Coffee deal you posted about earlier i the week? I’ve checked online ads for 6 different states now and can’t find it on sale anywhere like you posted. I see you didn’t get any 😉

    • Steve Pinski says:

I made a mistake and mixed up Walgreens and CVS. The Maxwell House Instant Coffee is on sale for $2.99 at Walgreens this week, so $2.24 after the coupon. Sorry about that.

      • Thank you so much! I had printed those MH coupons and am getting really low on coffee. I didn’t think to check their ad because I never shop at Walgreens as all print-at-home coupons at the store around the corner here require paging the manager who never accepts them if they’re black and white so I’ve learned to just not go there since I generally use a monochrome laser printer. I’ll be out of town later in the week and there will be a Walgreens nearby.

  7. you said
and used two $1/1 Wet N Wild Eye Product coupons, 2/5 SS insert (the newspaper coupons beeped)

I had the same proble with same product I was not alow to use the coupon and coupon beep to.

What could i have had done in these situations?

    • It’s up to the manager. You could always call CVS customer service and complain about registers not accepting coupons from Sunday inserts even when it’s crystal clear that the coupon applies to the item you are buying. CVS registers have been beeping on Tide, Crest toothpaste, Crest mouthwash, Snuggle laundry softener, etc. Even when the product you buy is pictured on the coupon, the register says you didn’t meet the coupon requirements.
