I had a GREAT trip to Publix today! I paid very little for a whole bunch of soda, snacks, a few bags of cat food and a razor. I decided not to spend the money for the gas card promo. Instead I chose to use a $5/$40 Winn-Dixie total purchase competitor coupon instead. (If you have a Winn-Dixie nearby, stop in and buy some cheap like a banana. Your receipt will have a link to a survey; after completing it you can print a $5 off $40 coupon.)

The $5 extra savings from the Winn-Dixie competitor coupon are factored into the final statistics for this trip. Here’s what I bought, along with the coupons used:

ONE GILLETTE PROSHIELD RAZOR 1 CT, reg. $9.99
Used one $2/1 Select Gillette Razors Publix store coupon, Health & Beauty Advantage Flyer
and used one FREE Gillette Razor home mailed coupon from the promotion here
NET PRICE: FREE + $2 MONEYMAKER!

TWO PURINA FRISKIES TENDER & CRUNCHY DRY CAT FOOD 3.15 LBS, on sale BOGO $4.99
Use two $1.50/1 Purina Friskies Tender & Crunchy Dry Cat Food printable coupons
NET PRICE FOR ALL: $1.99 (or 99 cents each!)

NINE PEPSI PRODUCT 12-PACKS (MTN DEW/MIST), on sale B2G1 $5.29 ($31.74 total with sale)
THREE STACY’S PITA CHIPS, on sale B2G1 $3.49 ($6.98 total with sale)
Used three FREE Pepsi 12-pack 12 oz cans AND FREE Doritos 9.5-11.5 oz or Stacy’s 6.75-8 oz when you buy TWO Pepsi Product 12-pack 12 oz cans Publix store coupons, tearpad found on in-store display or 1/15 SS insert (regional) – each coupon deducted $8.78 ($5.29 for Pepsi & $3.49 for Stacy’s)
NET PRICE FOR ALL: $12.38 (or $1.03 per item!)

The $5 off $40 Winn-Dixie coupon is factored into the stats below.

Total Retail Value of All Merchandise: $78.05
Net Price Paid for Everything: $7.37
Savings Rate (excluding tax): 90.6%

  1. Thanks so much.Great shopping.Guess depends on where you live we get $10 off $50 gas with $50 purchase.Guess that would make up for the ones that didn’t get free razor coupons

    • He means he didn’t want to tie up $50 in a gas card to use the $10/$50 gas card coupon. I will also use a $5/$40 instead of the $10/$50 gas card coupon if I am backed up on gas cards. It means losing $5 in savings on the transaction, but I don’t tie up money in a $50 gas card that I may not use for months.

  2. Where did you get the $5/$40 coupon?

    • Steve Pinski says:

Buy anything at Winn-Dixie. There is a survey link on every receipt. Complete the survey to get a $5 off $40 printable coupon after.

  3. I tried to buy nine Pepsi products and three bags of Stacy’s pita chips, but my store would not allow me to use three of the coupons. They said that I couldn’t use a coupon on an item that is already free (since the Stacy’s chips where already B2G1 Free, one bag was already free). So I ended up having to grab a fourth bag of Stacy’s chips and paid $15.87 for nine Pepsi products and four bags of Stacy’s chips, which averaged out to $1.22 an item (still not a bad deal).

But I made the deal even better because I also bought two bottles of Vaseline lotion, which were on sale for 30% off (they ended up being $2.93 and $2.94) and then I used a $2/1 coupon from 1/1 RP to make them just $0.93 and $0.94 a bottle. That brought my total over $40 so I could use the $5 off $40 Winn-Dixie coupon and I ended up paying $12.74 for nine Pepsi products, four bags of Stacy’s chips and two bottles of Vaseline lotion. My total would have been $69.95 without any sales or coupons.

That stinks that you had to buy the extra Stacy’s, but it’s still hard to complain about an AWESOME shopping trip like that! Well done!!!
