  1. Hey Steve! Great job! I was just at Publix and I found several $1/2 peelie stickers on the College Inn stock. I bought and eight and used eight Publix ad coupons , and four of the peelies and it was free + $0.04 overage!

  2. lisa reynolds says:

hi. the stores in montgomery, al put a limit of 2 after 1 customer just about wiped them out. now, i agree with a limit, but 2… i travel over an hour one way to go to publix, I LOVE PUBLIX. but, i have to say, publix mgt should have foreseen this. they put out the ad, they should know what the situation would be. if not, they should appoint someone that can do a little research on the blogs. publix should have been welllll stocked. i went to 3 publixs in the time of an 1 1/2 it was pure chaos.i had the image of an after thanksgiving sales at walmart lol. they will end up having to have someone at customer service that will be writing rain checks for days. publix, next time, please do better planning.

    • Steve Pinski says:

Yeah, I think a limit of two would have been ok. There are lots of other great items to mix and match with them. However, I didn’t feel bad about buying six, because that was the number needed to do the best deal. (Heck, I even let my roommate sleep instead of taking her with me to the store to buy six more.)

    • I think that is their sales tactic! Even if you get a rain check, I am sure they won’t write a $5 off $15 purchase, plus the $5/2 store coupon expires on next Friday. So the deal are not so good then.

  3. My store put a limit on the fruitare to 2 items per household and the Lipton tea deal also has limit of 2 per household

    • My store limited the Fruitare to 6 since it took 6 to get the $5 deduction. I was there at opening of the store but someone managed to wipe out all of the Lipton tea. My sister in Atlanta said they limited her to 2.

  4. Crazy deal! So crazy 4 stores in my area cleared since 10 am.

  5. I got up early thinking I was going to do all these great deals only to find limits on all the good money makers. Oh well,I guess thats the way things are heading.

  6. They had a 4 limit at my store. Heck I was there at 7:05 am and the tea was all gone. They gave me a rain check but only for 4. 🙁

    • I was the first when the store was opened. Nobody was before me. But there were none of the tea at all. The manager even didn’t know anything about the promotion. She checked and said that have none in stock and hopefully they will receive it today. I have a big doubt. They had 0 Hellmans Organic for all week of the sale.

  7. Did you use the $5.00 off when you spend $40.00 Publix coupon that was in the paper this weekend? (I’m not seeing it listed, and it looks like you met the requirements)

    • Steve Pinski says:

I did not realize that coupon was in the papers here, so I didn’t buy any. All my inserts come from the area where Fred lives (near Detroit, MI.)

  8. Tammie B. Kimball says:

5/2 does it have to be 2 different items?

    • Steve Pinski says:

They can be two identical items.

      • I went today tried to buy 4 Fruttare and the manager told me it had to be 2 different items.

        • I went today and was told it had to be different items and I could only use 2 of the $5 off 2 coupons in one day. This supposedly came from ‘corporate’. I’m going to try a different store this afternoon.

  9. I was lucky enough to find six of the Fruitare bars in stock. I use the overage to get Publix cheese slices, a banana, and use my rain check for snickers fun size bars which were buy one get one free previously. After the coupons and promotions, my total was $0.01, with sales tax I paid $.87. I’ve been submitted my receipts to IBotta and MobiSave for $.35 rebated so my net price was $.52 saved $22.84.

Earlier this week I had a rain check for Bushs Cocina Latina beans. They were on sale for a dollar so they based the buy one get one free on $1 plus there was the $.55 off /2 Publix store coupon. I purchased eight cans and paid $1.80. Check out 51 had an offer for $1/2 cans purchased, so I receive four dollars from Checkout 51. So I received eight cans of beans and was paid $2.20 profit.

  10. Steve,
If you haven’t thrown your receipt away yet………there is a $.70 IBOTTA rebate offer on those two boxes of Scotties you bought. Would make your trip a MM 🙂

    • Steve Pinski says:

Is that new? I remembered there was an offer recently and I did not see it on my app Thursday.

      • I’m not sure when it popped up, but you can still do it if it shows up now (as long as your receipt is within 7 days).
