blue-venus-swirl-razorBack on Monday I posted about a $0.16 per item Venus Razor and Shave Gels deal over at Walgreens. Well, it turns out that the BLUE Venus Swirl Razors are ringing up for $6.49 instead of $7.99 after the sale this week. That means we have a moneymaker deal instead! Here’s the updated scenario:

At Walgreens through 9/10:
BUY ONE VENUS SWIRL RAZOR – THE BLUE HANDLE (NOT PURPLE), on sale $6.49 (this is the price it is actually ringing up for at the register)
Get $10 Register Rewards for buying one Gillette or Venus Razor AND two Gillette, Venus or Satin Care Shave Gels
Use one $3/1 Venus Swirl or Venus & Olay Razor printable coupon (preclipped) or $3/1 Venus coupons in 8/14 P&G or 8/28 P&G
and use two $0.75/1 Venus Shave Gel 7 oz or larger printable coupons (preclipped)
Price at Register: $8.97, but get $10 Register Reward

Extreme Couponing Tip: You can usually get two prints of most internet coupons. To find them in the easiest possible way, use our preclipped links that take you right to the coupon. Then come back and click the same link to get your 2nd print. This will save you the time spent searching for the coupon.

  1. Hw do the RR points work? Is it just like ECBs that you can roll right away? Or do you have to wait? Thnx

    • Steve Pinski says:

They work just like Extra Bucks EXCEPT a few differences:
      1) NEVER use a Register Reward coupon to pay for a transaction that you expect to earn a Register Reward from the same manufacturer. If you do that, the new Register Reward might not print.
      2) A Register Reward counts as a manufacturer’s coupon, even though it is not attached to a specific item. Walgreens does not allow more manufacturer’s coupons than items. To get around this, if you want to use a Register Reward but you are using coupons on all your items in the order, buy an extra item that is cheap and that will allow you to use the Register Reward.

  2. This is a fantastic deal. I’ve done it twice now.

I did it and got lucky and the razors had a $4.00 off coupon attached so of course I used that one. However my reward didn’t print she didn’t know why so they gave me points which I just used on my next transaction.

        • Steve Pinski says:

Did you use a P&G Register Reward to pay or was the $4 off peelie coupon a store coupon? Either of those cases would screw up the deal.

          • Interesting, why would the store coupon (I used a $3 off digital clippable coupon from walgreens.com) screw up the deal? My $10 RR didn’t print so unfortunately this deal turned into a bust for me

          • Steve Pinski says:

Let me take that back! I may have been thinking it was a dollar threshold offer when I wrote that comment. It shouldn’t have messed it up. I’m not sure why it didn’t print.

          • ah ok, thanks. Is there a place where we can see all the register reward specifics each week? The Walgreens website doesn’t appear to list all of them, and some stores are lazy about marking things as on sale.

          • Steve Pinski says:

Unfortunately, I don’t know of any place where they list every inclusion. Walgreens is one of those stores where we just have to go by what is listed in the ad and what people report finding in their stores 🙁

  3. There is a $1 cash back on checkout51😍

    • Steve Pinski says:

Fine print on the Venus offers on Checkout51 exclude coupons 🙁

      • I have had 100% success rate getting Checkout51 credit for offers that excluded coupons when using coupons in the purchase. Not sure if they are checking it closer now though.
