  1. Is there a limit on how many times you can do the Brookside Bars deal?

    • Steve Pinski says:

Check the tags in store, because I haven’t seen them myself. If the tag is 3000 points when you buy $3, then you will probably be limited to one deal per transaction. If it is 3000 points when you buy three bars, then you should be able to do multiples.

  2. So can we pay with points and still receive the 3000 points on this deal if the tag states “when you buy

    three” ?

    • Unfortunately at Walgreens you cannot redeem and earn points on the same transaction.

      • That’s not true anymore. As of April 24th, 2016, Walgreens is allowing you to earn AND redeem Balance Rewards points in the same transaction on unit offers (unit offer examples: Buy 2, get back 5,000 Balance Rewards Points or Buy 1, get back 2,000 Balance Rewards Points etc).

But you will still not be able to earn points if you use points to pay for a threshold offer (for example spend $30, get 10,000 Balance Rewards Points back). Therefore, you will NOT want to pay for threshold offers with points since you won’t receive points back.

Also, you will NOT earn EveryDay points on the portion of the purchase that was paid for using Balance Rewards Points. Example ==> if you purchase $5 in products and use $2 in points to pay for your order, you’ll earn EveryDay points on the $3 spent.

So far I have tried this a couple of times and so far, so good. I recommend checking receipt before leaving store to make sure points were in fact earned.

      • 4/24/16 Walgreen’s changed/updated their policy somewhat. On items where you buy 1(or 2, 3, etc) and earn $X points, you can use points on those and still earn points. I know it works. I did it with the Ban Deodorant when it was 2/$4 and buy 2 earn 1000 points. I bought 2, used 2 mqs, paid with 2000 points and got back 1000 points.
