  1. doesn’t trigger only buying (2) Sally miracle gel 9.99 +9.99= $19.98 for the $3 off $20 and for the $5 ebs when you buy $10 on SallyHansen ???

    • Steve Pinski says:

I am not sure if the cashier will allow the $3/$20 coupon with just the two Sally Hansen items. It might work, but the Wet N Wild items are listed in there just to be safe. You can try it without the Wet N Wild and see if your cashier will allow. FYI – The extra bucks will trigger fine with or without the Wet N Wild.

      • vicki shimek says:

I had this happen last week. the (2) $9.99 = 19.98 WILL trigger the ECB however….the $3/$20 it WILL NOT

        • Steve Pinski says:

Kind of thought that might happen. That’s why I did the scenario this way just to be safe.

  2. Hi Steve,

When you say “Use the $3/$20 Cosmetics CVS store coupon, Red Coupon Machine (for some)”, does that mean there’s a store coupon AND a red machine coupon? and if it is both, do i go to the counter and ask for a booklet to get the store coupon?

Sorry I’ve had so much questions, I think I’m slowly getting them answered. Thanks for being so much help.

    • Steve Pinski says:

Hey Kapil. Feel free to ask as many questions as you need in the comments. Sometimes we will answer them, and sometimes if we’re swamped we will leave them for other helpful readers to answer.

In this case, there is only one store coupon. $3/$20 Cosmetics CVS store coupon is the coupon and “Red Coupon Machine (for some)” is the description of how it is acquired. Some folks got this coupon when they scanned their Extra Care Card at the Red Coupon Machine recently.

The other scenario listed is for the folks that weren’t as lucky, but at least the deal is still free for them 🙂

  3. I received a ($3.00 Off $10.00 Mascara, Lip Gloss or Nail Polish) AND a (20% Total Order Coupon)!! I’m not sure what to do beings I would like to get the Maybelline Mascara (Maybe) and also a few Wet N Wild, but I always get the toothpaste/mouthwash ($1 Off Colgate Mouthwash or ANY mouthwash), laundry soap, Shampoo & Conditioner ($3 Off $15), Body Wash ($2 Off $6 Body Wash). I also received (along with all listed) $3 Off $9 Almay Lip Gloss, Lipstick or Lip Stain – $7 Off $35 Olay facial cleanser, moisturizer, eye cream – $4 Off $10 Razors, Blades, or Shave Creams & Gels – $1.50 Off Air Fresheners like Glade, Febreeze, Renuzit, Airwick etc – 20% Off (2) Kotex, CVS Brand or ANY Tampons, Pads, Liners – $2 Off 2 Hair Color, includes Garnier Nutrisse, L’Oreal, and Clariol – I’m still new at all this couponing, I’ll be alright but then I get very nervous and don’t know what to use on what and end up wasting most of the coupons which is ashame, a lot of the stuff I purchase multiples every week I give to the neighbors with teenage kids (mostly teenage girls) that I know don’t get anything but bare neccesaties, or anyone who needs the stuff, I also have 3 teens of my own and am working from home part time so kinda on a budget, if i could figure a scenerio out for all these that won’t cost too much OOP that would be amazing!!

    • Steve Pinski says:

You got some great coupons. Unfortunately I don’t have time to cook something up for you right now, but Dove Men+Care Body Wash is nearly free with your $2/$6 body wash CVS coupon, two $2/1 newspaper coupons, sale and Extra Bucks. Check out our free or almost free list for CVS and I think you will see the deal there (just add in your CVS coupon.)

20% off total order on regular price items will be perfect for this Sally Hansen deal.

  4. I jumped right on this one. I bought 2 of the Miracle gel with the $3 coupon and 1of the instant manicure with the $2 coupon. I also used the $10 off $30 CVS coupon from last week. Price at the register was $12 with $15 back in ECB. Add in the savings star and its at $7 profit!!!!

  5. I can not get CVS on the list for receipt scan on Savingstar.

    • Steve Pinski says:

It’s not a receipt scan store. You enter your CVS Extra Care Card number in your account profile (not sure what tab that is offhand) and you get credited about 3-7 days after your purchases automatically if you’ve activated matching offers.

  6. brooke scott says:

Hey. Can you put together a deal with the new Ibotta rebates with this that just came out with the bonus rebates too? Thanks.

    • Steve Pinski says:

Very swamped right now. I’ll take a look if I get a chance a little later today.

  7. Ken from Philly says:

IBOTTA! Just listed $3, $3, $2 and $1 for Sally Hanson, matching coupons. I did late trip last night, scored so big I am speechless. Bought 3 SH items, spent $29.76, got credit for $30 and thus $15 ECB printed. Used 2 x $3/1 and 1 x 2/1 manuf. coupons ($8 total), a $2 CVS beauty, a $3 off mailer, and used $14 ECB toward purchase. SavingStar gave me $4 credit, Ibotta will come to $8. CVS Beauty Club rewards will cross my $50 trigger $5 ECB level with this purchase, but technically it’s 3/5 toward the $50, so I add $3 equivalent.

Equates to CVS/SH paying me $13.24 for $29.76 purchase!! 144%? Is my math correct? I know absolutely nothing about nail products, just good deals, hope my wife and daughter like what I picked out! LOL!
