cvs-062016I had a great trip to CVS this afternoon! I had some great CVS store coupons to use with these deals, including a $10 off $60 purchase CVS store coupon that printed from the Red Coupon Machine and a $10/$30 Cosmetics Purchase store coupon on the CVS app. (Everyone should have the app coupon for the cosmetics.) I also had a $3/$15 Cosmetics purchase CVS store coupon on the app that I had sent to my card. My cashier took the initiative to apply that coupon too (even though I don’t think he should have done that.)

Even though the $10/$60 total purchase coupon is not included with any specific items in the breakdown below, those $10 of savings are reflected in the final statistics for this trip. The coupon was applied to Transaction #1.

  1. When did you use the 10 off 60? I bought over 60 in almay. They would only let me use the 10 off 30,Shouldn’t I have been able to use both? Thanks

    • Steve Pinski says:

I think it’s borderline about using both, but the $10 off $60 was the first thing deducted from the order. Ultimately, it will depend whether or not your cashier considers the $10/$30 Cosmetics a “total purchase” type coupon or not. It’s total gray area in my opinion, so it’s hard to argue it if the cashier doesn’t see things your way.

      • My trip to CVS yesterday had a $4 off $14 soap & a $2 off $8 soap (both CVS coupons). I asked my cashier if I could use both, and she said if not the register would not take it. So, she tried it, and the register took both of them! Therefore, maybe it is how CVS has their registers programmed.

        • Just curious – when did SavingStar have the Maybelline mascara cashback offers? I go on there all the time & am a big fan of Maybelline mascara, so I am just wondering how I missed it???

          • Steve Pinski says:

Very early Sunday morning. People snapped up all the activations quickly. I grabbed mine around 9 in the morning and then I started writing a SavingStar post and they were all gone by the time I finished!

  2. Wow! Fun shopping trip! Let us know how sugar free chocolate tastes!

    • Steve Pinski says:

It’s decent. The texture of the exterior chocolate is a little bit chalky, but it is also sugar free, so there’s the trade off. Better than eating full sugar chocolates, even if there is a little sacrifice in taste.

Of course…these were clearanced and who knows how old they are lol.

  3. Sandra Wilson says:

I just call CVS because they would not let me use my 10/60.00 and my store could not tell me why. They me to call the 1-800 number so I did and she told me I have to had 60.00 in total without mfr. coupon so if you use coupon they won’t take it. She did say the their coupon or o.k. and if you use your mfr. coupon make sure you have 60.00 after that. That what she said.

    • Steve Pinski says:

She’s wrong. If it is scanned when your total is $60+ (not including sales tax), the register will deduct it.

  4. I hadn’t been to CVS in a while so I had no ECBs to start with. I loaded CVS coupons to my card and used printable coupons.I did 2 transactions and bought 3 Bounty, 2 Coppertone sunblock, 2 Loreal hair color, 2 Huggies and 2 Pampers. These were all things I needed. I paid $55.99 out of pocket (including tax), but received a $10 ECB and $19 in cash back apps. My only snag was that I had a $3 Loreal Preference CVS coupon that voided when the cashier scanned my manf. coupon. She said it was because the CVS coupon was also a manf. I’d never had that issue before. I was still happy overall…especially since I actually needed my items since my stockpile had dwindled.

    • Steve Pinski says:

Great! You saved a bunch of money and stocked up. Now you have some ECBs to work with over coming weeks 🙂

  5. Don’t eat too much of that sugar free candy at one time it has a laxative effect. I used to work at their manufacturing plant.

  6. if you have the $1 bounty that print from the Catalina machines from stop and shop and Shoprite but say manufacturer coupon on them but have the Shoprite and stop and shop logo on them . Can you use these at cvs because it says manufacturer coupon or can they inky be used at Shoprite and stop and shop depending on which logo is in them?

    • Steve Pinski says:

Most stores will take a manufacturer’s coupon even if it has another store’s logo, HOWEVER CVS is the one chain that normally does not take them. You can give it a shot, but I recommend using a different coupon if possible.

  7. Can someone tell me when the nose/ear CVS brand hair trimmer extra care buck expires? An i seen something about buying (2) gift cards get $10 Extra care bucks limit (2). Does anyone know when that expires and what kind of cards do you need to buy like any restaurant and how much do they need to be for i seen some as low as $10 will those work?

    • Steve Pinski says:

I think it was included in a promo to buy $10 of CVS Shaving Care, get $5 Extra Bucks and it may have been a weekly deal. If it was a monthly deal, then it may still be going on but likely ending on Saturday.

  8. I purchased 3 bounty and I did not receive a $10 extrabucks. It said I am a dollar away. Did anyone go through the same thing. Should I go and talk to a cashier and see if they can manually give it to me.

    • Steve Pinski says:

That is bizarre. Extra Bucks printed fine for me and they usually print for everyone when they hit 98% of the required purchase ($29.40 in this case.)
