tide-10-ecbUPDATE: 5:24 PM – We just got our first comment that it only produced $5 Extra Bucks, so they may have fixed the deal. If we get a second comment, I’ll update the post. It’s still a great deal, but keep in mind that if only $5 ECB prints, it will be like paying $2.77 per Tide and getting the Puffs for free.

UPDATE #2: We have confirmation that the deal is only producing $5 Extra Bucks now. Congrats to all that hurried and scored the extra awesome deal!

Wow, one of our members of our I am a Couponaholic group (Cynthia P.) on Facebook posted this picture. She did the P&G/Planters/Pepsi ECB deal at CVS. It is supposed to produce $5 Extra Bucks when you buy $20 of participating items, but it gave her $10. This deal may not last long before they change it back to $5, so hurry out NOW to do your deals.

Even though she got a great deal buying three Tides, the best scenario with this $10 ECB printing is to buy three Tides and two Puffs. You will pay $1.10 per Tide and get the Puffs for free. Here’s the scenario:

At CVS (UPDATED BECAUSE CVS FIXED THE DEAL):
BUY THREE TIDE 37-50 OZ, on sale $5.94
BUY TWO PUFFS TISSUES 48-56 CT, on sale $0.99
Get $10 Extra Bucks when you buy $20 of select items (at some point they will probably change this back to $5; $19.80 purchase will trigger Extra Bucks)
Now corrected to Get $5 Extra Bucks when you buy $20 of select items

Use three $2/1 Tide Detergent coupons, 5/1 P&G (regional) or $2/1 Tide Detergent, Odor Rescue or Brights + Whites Rescue printable manufacturer’s coupons (go to Coupons page)
and use two $0.25/1 Puffs printable coupons (preclipped) or here (register; go to coupons page)
Price at Register: $13.30, but get $10 $5 Extra Bucks
NET PRICE FOR ALL: $3.30 $8.30 (like paying $1.10 $2.77 per Tide and getting FREE Puffs!)

Extreme Couponing Tip: You can usually get two prints of most internet coupons. To find them in the easiest possible way, use our preclipped links that take you right to the coupon. Then come back and click the same link to get your 2nd print. This will save you the time spent searching for the coupon.

  9. Corporate is getting faster on this – they already fixed the glitch and notified stores of the incorrect $10 EB for the P&G deal.

  10. Yeah……I had to wait for the storm to pass, so by the time I got there the THRILL WAS GONE!
I ended up with $5.00…..what a BOO HOO moment. However, my receipt shows this:

Household, Spend $30 Get 10 EB
    Amount Toward this Reward $2.00
Amount Needed to Earn Reward $28.00

Where did this $30 come from when the AD clearly says spend $20 & get $5……HELP???

    Then is says this:

Grocery, Spend 20 Get 5 EB
    * Offer Limit Reached 20.00

I bought Bounty Paper towels, Puffs tissue, & Pantene …….NO FOOD was even purchased!
What’s the take on this any advice will certainly be appreciated!!!!

    • Steve Pinski says:

Not sure but the “Grocery” is just what they called the offer in their system.

  11. Major problem trying to use the $10 extra bucks from this promo. Corporate has the system set to ring up as 5.00 at the register when scanned. I will be speaking to the manager tomorrow about honoring the 10.00.
