cvs-052216I had an AWESOME trip to CVS this evening! There were a few things that irritated me, but it was otherwise a very good trip! Earlier today I visited a CVS and found the 500ml bottles of Scope tagged for the Extra Bucks and priced at $3.69. I stopped by a different store tonight because it was closer to home and they were priced at $3.79. (That’s annoying, but at least it is only $0.10 per product.) Also, my store no longer has a “Buy More, Save More” price on the L’Oreal Advanced Shampoo/Conditioner. Now they are $4.99 with no 2/$9 pricing. That cost me another extra $0.98.

Oh well…when you see the details of this trip you’ll realize why I’m not going to keep complaining 😉

I just ran across a CVS Q for $2 off 3 American Greetings cards greater than $1.99, exp 6/19/2016. It says they have to be $1.99 or more, but I’ve never had problems with the $.99 ones working with this type of coupon regardless of that type of wording. Now, just waiting to pair with an ECB offer for Father’s Day for a MM…

Also, found another interesting one–$2 on 2 Starbucks Refreshers and 1 Sally Hansen Miracle Gel. Not so sure about that combo…

    • Kristen says:

Also missed that one that I printed was a CVS Q–$1 on 2 bags M&Ms 9 oz or larger.

  2. I only had one coupon for the Venus razors, but found a $1.50 off one coupon at coupon.com. Better I had the $5/1 CVS coupon, but had an additional $3/2 app CVS coupon. Still a great deal! Thanks so much for all your help in finding these deals. It has saved us TONS!!!

  3. Ken from Philly says:

I shopped briefly late last night, close to midnight when I left. My CVS had the tag for the Scope 500 ml $4 ECB but when I got to the register, the ECB did not print out. Cashier/manager used her scan gun and said there is no ECB deal for the 500 ml size in the computer/cashier system. We went to the isle and I showed her the yellow tag. She pulled the tag and threw it in the garbage, but still printed out manually by $4 ECB (x2). I guess no one is getting it at that location, I might try another just out of curiosity. They sell that size for $3.99, fwiw. I had the $.75 coupons x 2 and the red box printed out a $2/6 “Crest” mouthwash which worked too (Scope is owned by same parent co. as Crest, Proctor & Gamble).

I also bought the Colgate Daily Repair ($3.49) x 2 and had stacked the 2 x $1.00 coupons with a $2/2 CVS toothpaste and gave them a 5 ECB and a $2 ECB and some change, picked up 13 ECB.

I’m finding problems with the printing of ECB more frequently lately, and having to use too much effort and time to correct their mistakes. At least two different locations.

    • Kristen says:

The CVS closest to me takes the tags off, too, if they discover ECB don’t print automatically. They refuse to manually print ECB for pretty much anything; the manager told me they get “dinged” for printing ECB manually. I drive an extra 15 min each way most weeks to go to a store with better-trained staff.

  4. Ken from Philly says:

On a side note, the Canadula Cream deal last week was not in the weekly circular CVS ad. The CVS I was at was out of it, and I tried to get a rain check (it was Saturday and I was on my way to a movie) but we could not find it in the circular and I just could not prove that it was on sale, let alone with $6 ECB. So I am not sure now about the universality of the deals posted here. Has anyone else had this experience?

    • Steve Pinski says:

CVS can vary. Sometimes they do regional ads and sometimes there are extra deals in the myWeeklyAd on CVS that are not included in the printed circular. In this case, it was an extra deal that was only found online and was not advertised in the printed ad.

  5. I had the same problem with the EB not printing on the Scope 16.9 oz. size. When I showed the manger the yellow tag, he did print it.

I think it’s interesting that you were able to get the Revlon Shadowlinks half off. I tried to buy 6 of them this afternoon and only one came up half price and the other 5 rang at full price. When the manager scanned them at the red machine they just showed full price, not BOGO 1/2 off so he refused to honor the ad. Needless to say, I cancelled the entire transaction and left really annoyed!

I’m having problems with one store taking Extra Bucks but not subtracting them from my receipt. I had it happen twice in the past 2 weeks and we’re not talking a little money – it was a total of $18!

    • Steve Pinski says:

It’s possible maybe one of them didn’t ring up half off. I don’t have my receipt any more since all the SavingStar offers are automatic at CVS.
