cvs-041116I had a great trip to CVS today! I got almost everything on my list. I had a nice CVS store coupon and a $4/1 manufacturer’s coupon from the box of a previous Schick Quattro product and was hoping to get some cheap refills, but my store was out of stock. I was able to get everything else on my list 🙂

Note that one of my $3 coupons was kicked out by the register. My cashier manually added it back in, but we are not sure if it was the $3/$15 Cosmetics CVS store coupon or the $3/1 Schick Shaving Products CVS store coupon. So if you received either of these Red Coupon Machine coupons and plan to copy something I did, watch carefully at checkout.

    Hi Steve,
Well, I print your shopping trips, and go to my CVS in Ocala. I did not realize the CVS Red Coupon machines print different coupons from what you use. Since I’m new to this, I’m trying very hard, but it’s confusing, I take too long at the register and then a line forms…one CVS over charged me a whole Tide and I had to go all the way back.
Seems every city is different and what you have luck buying, I can’t seem to get it!
    Suggestions,
    NB

Hey Nancy. Glad to see you’re here and trying this couponing thing out. Make sure you take a look at my trips carefully when making your plans. There are some coupons EVERYONE gets because they are advertised by CVS, but there are other coupons that print from the Red Coupon Machine that vary by user. What coupons come out have to do with your spending profile. (CVS decides what extra coupons to give you.)

I always do my best to say if it is an “EVERYONE” coupon or just one received by “SOME” folks. I hope that info helps, and if you’re new…hang in there. You’ll catch on and your savings will grow as you do. Good luck 🙂

  4. Like what happened to you…I have noticed recently that some of my CVS coupons are being kicked out for some reason? This has never happened before so not sure as to why??

  5. Ken from Philly says:

I’m a Saturday shopper, as nice things (i.e. email coupons) happen during week. Got a $3 off/$9 CVS email coupon for Garnier hair products. Of course (thanks to this site) I had $2 manuf. coupons to use on each. So I got the 2/$6 Fructus hair, for $2 aftre using 2 coupons, and the 2 ECB, paired with one Garnier Whole Blends at retail $5.29, crossing the $9 threshold and triggering the $3 off, and using final $2 coupon. It also came with a 2 ECB. Also used my $6 off of $30 on entire purchase (sale or no), came during week, so total on Garnier purchases: Paid $11.29, used $6 manuf. coupons, $3/$9 CVS coupon, and ~$2 of the $6/$30 so at this point it is 29c short of FREE. Add back 2 x 2 ECB for a net $3.71 profit.

Who likes getting paid to shop? 🙂

  6. Ken from Philly says:

Just spotted another potential money maker ending tonight, Nivea “in shower” body lotion buy 2 get $5 ECB. Coupon in papers $3/2, plus CVS coupon $3 off/$10 “body lotion.” If priced at $5.50 ea. or less, it is a money maker. Guess I’m going back!

    • Steve Pinski says:

They are around $7.99 per CVS.com. BTW, my roommate loves that stuff. I got her a few bottles a while back when we had a deal around $1-$2.
