  1. Great trip.

  2. susan Winston says:

Coffee coupon does not match sale size

    • Steve Pinski says:

There are two $1/1 Maxwell House coupons at Coupons.com. One has a size restriction of 30 oz. The other one has no size restrictions. There is also a third coupon – $1.50/2 – and it has no size restrictions either.

      • Susan Winston says:

Thanks, Steve. I knew about the $1.50/2 coupon, but the only $1/1 coupon I found has the size restrictions. Thanks for setting me straight.

  3. At the risk of sounding like a total idiot…is Maxwell House instant coffee and why does it come in a brick instead of a bag? How does it compare to the other popular BOGO brands?

    • Steve Pinski says:

This Maxwell House is regular ground coffee. It’s just sold as a brick because it is vacuum sealed – I think. This is my first time buying this brand.

Maxwell House does have a completely different product that is instant coffee though.

The items in the Publix sale are not instant.

      • Ok…thanks! I’m in need of a major coffee stock up so I guess I’ll give it a try!

  4. I don’t understand how the coke is a moneymaker. They should each ring up at half-price, and the cashier would only take off that amount once you hand over the coupon. They shouldn’t and won’t take off the max price of $4.99.

    • Steve Pinski says:

Here in Florida, BOGO and B2G1 sales ring up differently.

      A BOGO would ring up
      $5.29
      $5.29
and a separate entry for Promotion -$5.29
Each item costs $5.29 even though one is made free by promotion

The B2G1 sale like the one listed above rings up this way at Florida Publix stores…
      $5.29
      $5.29
      $5.29
and a separate entry for Promotion -$5.29
Each item costs $5.29 even though one is made free by promotion

Publix policy allows a coupon on all items, including those made free by a sale. I have been getting these MCR coupons for years and shopping with them at many Publix stores in my area. (I have about a dozen within 10 miles of my house.) Every single store treats these coupons this way and it is consistent with the corporate coupon policy.

FYI – If you are outside FL, you still may want to see how the B2G1 sales ring up. Even though the BOGOs ring up at half price, I’ve heard that B2G1 sales ring up the same way as they do in Florida. (Full Price, Full Price, Full Price and then a promotion deduction for the value of one item.)

      • Thanks for clarifying. I may stop by a store and try it out. I didn’t know where you were located, sorry about that. I’m from SC and our stores ring up BOGOs as half off. Not sure about the B2G1s though.

        • Steve Pinski says:

I think Monica (who is in Alabama and does not have true bogos) has said the B2G1’s ring up like our Florida true BOGO sales. Good luck!

  5. if the drinks are b2g1 why would you use a coupon for the free one

    • Steve Pinski says:

Because Publix coupon policy allows it. You get credit for the coupon because it charges you for it before the deduction for the promotion. That gives you overage to use on your other items (which I used to pay for my coffee and creamer.)
