kmart-083015Team Couponaholic now has a Shop Your Way Personal Shopper account! Personal Shopper is a little bit of a misnomer, it’s more like “Personal Deal Finder.”

There are a few benefits though to having a personal shopper:

  • When you sign up, you’ll get a three month trial to SYW Max, which allows you to get free shipping on orders that are either over $30 or have a single item priced at over $10. There is no Credit Card required and it doesn’t automatically renew.
  • Most months, Shop Your Way sends out a few bucks in points to members who are signed up with a personal shopper that are valid for a couple of days. There is no guarantee this will continue in the future, but it’s happened almost every month that I’ve been watching. I’ll be sure to let you know in the blog and on Shop Your Way, when this is coming.
  • Personal Shoppers have the ability to send out store coupons to clients. What coupons are available tend to vary, but I definitely plan on sending out the best value coupon I can find to all clients on the first day of each Super Doubles.

To add me as your Personal Shopper, you’ll want to head over to Shop Your Way to sign in. You’ll then want to click *here* to make Wayland (from our team) your personal shopper.

Now…on to my shopping trip…

Stephanie and I both have Kmart cards, so we both grabbed a shopping cart and went shopping. Even though there are quite a few hot deals over at Kmart this week, I took the opportunity to start the week by stocking up on some items we rarely get cheap – wet dog and cat food. So the savings percentage isn’t what I like to see normally, but these were items we were going to have to buy sometime soon. In fact, I only had one lonely can of Alpo wet dog food in my stockpile before today’s trip.

FORTY-EIGHT CANS OF FRISKIES CAT FOOD, on sale $0.50 (she forgot to write down the regular price, but I’m guessing about $0.55)
Used two $1/24 Friskies Wet Cat Food Cans printable manufacturer’s coupons – doubled to $1 each
NET PRICE FOR ALL: $20 (or 42 cents per can!) – OUCH!

Watch the register as they scan your coupons. They had to double a few of mine manually.

Total Retail Value of All Merchandise: $72.66
Net Price Paid for Everything: $36.34

Extreme Couponing Tip: You can usually get two prints of most internet coupons. To find them in the easiest possible way, use our preclipped links that take you right to the coupon. Then come back and click the same link to get your 2nd print. This will save you the time spent searching for the coupon.

  1. Nice deal on the cat cans. We tried to get those too but our cat eats the “special diet” Friskies and our store discontinued those. The regular price may be higher (I never get them unless on sale) than 55c a can, our local grocer has them featured in the weekly ad for 59c a can ON SALE! Walmart carries the seafood kind for 50c or less every day. I hope they do not get rid of the special ones too.

    • Steve Pinski says:

Yeah I figured $0.55 was playing it safe. I didn’t want to accidentally overestimate the savings. Our Winn-Dixie has them for $0.45 this week but the coupon won’t double there. That’s about one cent per can better than Kmart’s sale and double, but it made it easy to get to $25 by doing the cat food deal there.

  2. Steve, why no ‘Coupon Insert Preview’ this week??
