cvs 8-10-15So this trip ended up going a little weird.  The first transaction the % off coupon came in really low.  (As in less than 25% of my out of pocket low.)  Rather than try to sort it all out, they gave me $5 free in Extra Bucks.  While I still came out somewhat behind on that solution, I still came out with a profit, so I decided to just roll with it.  (This would have been a *huge* moneymaker.)  Otherwise it was a sweet trip.  I didn’t have any luck finding the pens I was looking for and I couldn’t find an Oral B refill to save my life, but I got paid to bring home over $100 worth of stuff, so I can’t complain.

… did you mean “Irish Spring?”

  2. I just do not understand why I never get emailed coupons or the red machine money off coupons. They tell me when I call its just luck. Do you known of any reason for this. Thank you

    • Wayland P says:

Some folks say signing up for a new card will help. I dunno why they stop sending sometimes.

  3. I did the irish spring deal too! But when i printed my coupons from the machine, it printed $2 off $11 body soap as well as $2 off any Irish spring body soap.
Paid $2 got back $6 extra bucks

    • kathy silberberg says:

I was told that I could not combine two $ off coupons like those. I tried to use a $3/15 makeup and a $4/15 Maybelline makeup last week and the cashier said no.

      • Wayland P says:

One of those is for a specific item, not a total purchase. As for the two coupons you mention, the CVS coupon policy states:

CVS/pharmacy accepts multiple Dollar off Transaction coupons (e.g. $3 off $15) in one transaction if they apply
o Ex. Customer may use two 3 off $15 coupons if they are purchasing over $30.00

  4. Awesome!!!

  5. hi….How did you get CVS Direct Mail Coupon?

    • Steve Pinski says:

Sometimes CVS will send coupons in the regular mail to select cardholders. We don’t know what triggers them.

      • I just got a 25% off total purchase one in snail mail this week along with $1. off 2 M&M’s, $3. off purchase of $10. or more Colgate Total products, $1. off any Suave product, $3. off any 2 Scrubbing Bubbles product, which are all products I buy on a regular basis. Plus $1. off CVS ultra thin pads and $1 off Advil that I don’t usually buy. With the feminine products I try to get Tampax, Playtex and now Tena. I don’t use Advil. They’ve quit sending me the % off emails and my Red Box coupons are down to 2 or 3 a week.

Once I emailed them and asked why I wasn’t getting the rewards offers in my account online or by email they said it was random then I received the coupons above.

Should I ask for a new card? If I did how do I sign up for a new one?

        • Steve Pinski says:

Just walk into CVS and tell them you lost your card and would like a new one. If they ask you your phone number, say you aren’t sure which one you used when you signed up. They should give you a card and you can register it later.

FYI – Extra Bucks usually won’t start printing until a few days after registering the card, so don’t use it the day you receive it.

  6. Doesn’t it seem sad/odd that such a small amount of stuff without coupons would cost sooooo much?
