cvs-080915I had a GREAT trip to CVS this morning! I was about to give up on Stephanie’s current CVS card and have her “lose” it and get a new card, but after we blew a big wad of Extra Bucks on Prilosec last week, we seemed to come back into favor. She got a $5/$15 total purchase coupon in her email on Thursday, plus we got some nice coupons from the Red Coupon Machine today too.

Also, I shopped at a different CVS than the one that had Blue Diamond Almonds regularly priced at $4.99 just a few weeks ago. This store had them for a whopping $5.79! I am not sure if the price moved up $0.80 at both stores or if I just got torched because I was shopping a little closer to the beach. I’ll have to check my regular store next time I shop there.

Here’s what we bought, along with the coupons used:

  1. Valencia says:

Did the Dermasilk or Schick beep? Also, did either autodeduct?

  2. I try to follow your examples, however, at my CVS store the red coupon machine isn’t printing any of the coupons you have posted. 🙁

  3. Just so you know……every CVS I went to to purchase the Blue Diamond almonds…….had a few of the flavors jacked up to $5.79 here in Brandon too (the one I was concentrating on, what the Smokehouse flavor 🙂 )

In addition, I was able to use a $2.00 off coupon on each one I purchased (I averaged 6 cans per store)

Did you have issues with the Dermasilk coupon only ringing up for $.50 cents? (I used 3 of them, and every one rang up for .50 cents. The cashier had to manually calculate 1/2 price and key the amount in).
My red box $10/$40…….was not on ‘any’ facial purchase. It was specific to *OLAY”. Did you have this issue too?

    • Steve Pinski says:

My cashier manually put in the Dermasilk and Schick coupons, so I don’t know how they would’ve scanned.

I also did not get the $10/$40 coupon at all…not on any brand. It killed my planned Dermasilk/Neutrogena deal 🙁

      • Yeah, kinda foiled my plans too. I gave them the $10/$40 coupon in with the rest of mine, without realizing it said Olay. Needless to say, it didn’t take. On a bright side, I got an excellent product still at half price !!
        Oh well………next time 🙂

  4. SavvyShopper says:

Is the T.G. Lee milk coupon gone? it is not showing up for me 🙁

  5. Thanks for the post! The demasilk coupon is auto-deducted or manually input the amount?

  6. So here is my trip:
$10/$40 coupon for skincare did not print for me (manager honored it)…
I got 2 Dermasilk $9.99 each and 2 Schick Razors $12.99 (if to look in the ad Schick Razors are in the blue area eligible for $10/$40 coupon)…
    OOP: $12.98 get back $7 & $10 extrabucks

  7. Hey Steve,

Did you find that very few of the stores in this area (Tampa Bay) had the Viva paper towels in stock?

    • Steve Pinski says:

I didn’t even look. My newspapers didn’t have the $2/1 coupons that week, so they weren’t on my shopping list.
