cvs-082715I had an AWESOME trip to CVS today! My first stop was at the Red Coupon Machine to scan my card. I got TONS of great coupons, including the advertised $3/$15 Cosmetics CVS store coupon everyone is getting this week, plus an AWESOME $7/$22 Physicians Formula Cosmetics coupon. I also got a $5 Beauty Bucks Extra Bucks reward from previous purchases. Even though I normally include Extra Bucks in the stats on the day they are earned, I calculate the Beauty Bucks when they are spent instead since they are earned over multiple trips, so there’s an extra $5 of bonus savings in the stats at the bottom of this post.

I decided to use that $7/$22 Physicians Formula coupon and gamble to see if the actual limit on the Extra Bucks deal was higher than one – AND IT IS! The limit is AT LEAST two!

But it gets better…my store had $10 rebate peelies on some of the Physicians Formula Magic Mosaic Bronzers, plus I was allowed to use the $3/$15 Cosmetics coupon in conjunction with the $7/$22 Physicians Formula CVS coupon. I am not sure all stores will allow this, but mine considered the $3/$15 Cosmetics coupon a total purchase coupon and the $7/$22 Physicians Formula coupon a specific item store coupon. Some of you probably won’t be so lucky.

It is possible that they won’t honor the rebate because the fine print says it can’t be used with another promotion, but I’m pretty optimistic they will. I am not sure if that only applies to overlapping rebates or these CVS store coupons and Extra Bucks deals. I figured it was worth gambling with a postage stamp for the possible $10 rebate.

Here’s what I bought, along with the coupons used:

ONE CALENDULA CREAM, on sale $8.99 (regular price $12.99)
Get $6 Extra Bucks when you buy one Calendula Cream (limit 1)
Used one $5/1 Calendula Cream printable coupon
Price at Register: $3.99, but received $6 Extra Bucks
***Some of you may also have a $5/1 Ibotta cashback offer, but I don’t have it 🙁

ONE LITTLE REMEDIES SALINE SPRAY/DROPS 1 OZ, on sale $4.99 (regular price $5.49)
Get $4 Extra Bucks when you buy Little Remedies Saline 1 oz
Used one $2/1 Little Remedies Product printable coupon
Price at Register: $2.99, but received $4 Extra Bucks
***I am only seeing a $1/1 coupon when I click the link now. I don’t know if they replaced the $2/1 or if I only see a  $1/1 because I already printed the $2/1 coupon.

Get $8 Extra Bucks when you buy $12 of Physicians Formula (ad states limit of one but it is AT LEAST TWO; This $23.98 total is close enough to trigger $16 total Extra Bucks)
Get $10 mail-in rebate when you buy select Physicians Formula (must have the peelie from the product; form is here)
Used one $7/$22 Physicians Formula Cosmetics CVS store coupon, printing for SOME at Red Coupon Machine this week
and used one $3/$15 Cosmetics Purchase CVS total purchase store coupon, printing for everyone at Red Coupon Machine through 8/29
Price at Register: $13.98, but received $16 Extra Bucks and submitting for $10 rebate
***Note the rebate states it is not valid with other promotions. I am not sure if that includes Extra Bucks or store coupons. It is possible they won’t send me the $10. It is also possible that your store won’t allow you to use both the $7/$22 and $3/$15 coupons together on this purchase, so your deal could vary a bit.

I have also included the $5 Beauty Bucks I used in the stats below. If you don’t include them, my “profit” is $5 less.

Total Retail Value of All Merchandise: $42.46
Net Price Paid for Everything: $20.04 PROFIT!
Savings Rate (excluding tax): 147.2%

  1. Stephanie the Roommate says:

YAY!!!! I’ll be coming home to great prizes today!!

  2. In my past experience with Phy. Form. rebates, I still got my full purchase price back, even when using my employee discount (!!!!!) and coupons. Good luck!

  3. I cannot ever get CVS to accept my extra bucks if I am shy by just one or two cents! The cash registers reject them , and they will not do an override either . I must be in the wrong zipcode !

  4. Steve on the ibotta app get rid of some of the offers your not interested on I deleted about 10 offers then refreshed my ibotta and the calendula cream popped up it might work for you also…

  5. No peelies at my cvs for physicians formula. How does this work?

  6. It’s on the product right? What does it say?
