publix-061115I figured this Publix trip required a little extra explanation. How often do you see me spend this much money or save at a percentage this low? Not too often, that’s for sure.

There’s a good reason for that though. I bought my first house back in April and I closed on it last week! Sunday will (finally) be moving day. Since the sale wasn’t too exciting this week, I just picked up a few items to hold us over until next week’s sale. I packed all my coffee a while back and ran out a few days before the move, so I picked up an inexpensive bag of Seattle’s Best Coffee to hold me over. I’m going to run out of creamer before the move too, so I picked up a bottle…even without a coupon! I figured we’d need some Cinnamon Rolls for the first morning in a new house, so I picked some up since they were on sale with a matching coupon. The banana was free, so I snagged that too.

And at such a stressful time of moving, I feel it is totally excusable to buy Entenmann’s Donuts, even without a coupon.

P.S. My new Publix and Winn-Dixie stores take Fresh Market competitor coupons. If any of you have too many $5 off coupons, I’ll take them 😉

Here’s what I bought, along with the coupons used:

  1. Good Luck says:

    That is exciting

If you run out of coffee before Sunday,
Publix has a $2 off in-store coupon for Maxwell House coffee.
Stack with a MQ if you have one. The refill “brick” is reasonable, if that is a brand you like

    • Steve Pinski says:

Thanks! I think a bag of coffee should more than cover me for three more days, even brewing an extra pot for the moving crew. I fully intended on sharing my Entenmann’s with them too, but we’ll see how many are left come Sunday morning 🙂

  2. Congrats Steve! Hectic days ahead but will all be worth it when you spend your first full day in your new home and you realize it’s yours. All the best!

    • Steve Pinski says:

Definitely hectic! Moving on my day off and taking half a day other than that, so it’s been crazy trying to get ready for the big day.

  3. I’m not seeing the coffee 4.99 on sale in the flyer??

    • Steve Pinski says:

I am not sure if it is an advertised sale in the Grocery Advantage Flyer or if it is a flat-out unadvertised deal. However, it was tagged in my store at the shelf.

Will you still be in Pinellas County!? I hope so! What Publix takes Fresh Market…I am hoping Northeast Shopping Center!?

    • Steve Pinski says:

I will be VERY close to the two Publixes at 38th Ave N & 4th St N in St. Pete. Also very close to a Winn-Dixie. Looking forward to that. I am pretty certain both those stores take Fresh Market coupons.

  5. Congratulations, Good luck in your new house.

  6. Good luck with the move. I’ve never heard of Fresh Market (and I live in Florida).
