  1. Were the Chips Ahoy packages big enough to match the size requirement of the Publix coupon?

    • Monica Bragg says:

Only certain ones were large enough. I got the chewy and they are 13 oz so they fit the size requirement.

  2. hi monica, can i use the $.75/2 nabisco cookie or cracker coupon from the 5/17 SS together with the publix coupon? thanks.

  3. The size requirements were met by the coupon, but the coupon clearly states Family Size and neither package is Family size so this coupon should not have been used. There are Family size Ritz crackers and Chips Ahoy that the coupon is meant for.

  4. There is also a sparkling Ice Coupon. YMMV but Publix had it for $1.00 each and I got a $1.50 coupon. I purchased 2 and used 2 coupons of them and got MM to use towards refrigrated items.

Here’s the link to the coupon:
    sparklingice.com/flavorfaceoff/

  5. Also, if anyone has the $1 off one Nabisco Cookie or Cracker from the contest a week or so back, that will make the cookies free!

  6. The Nabisco cookies 13 oz are not the family size,
The 13 oz on the coupon is in reference to the crackers
not the cookies. Verfied with Publix Corprate office.
The publix coupon is not a match for the Chips Ahoy 13 oz,
only the family size. Coupon states : Any 1 Nabisco
FAMILY size Cookies OR Crackers 13 oz or larger.
Monica you have been couponing for a long time, you know
how to read a coupon, please
    dont steer your followers incorrectly.
    Thank You

    • Monica Bragg says:

I am a big enough person to walk away from that and say nothing more than I do my best to coupon honestly and with integrity and I stand BEHIND my decision on using this coupon on the cookies. I hope that you have an awesome day! I do hope that each person uses their own judgement and if they feel that is not correct usage then don’t do the deal. I am not trying to force or steer anyone in a direction that is illegitimate.

    • I would have to agree with everything you have said, Thank you for being an ethical couponer. Too many times people rush out to do a deal that is illegitimate.

      • I agree. I’ve been using your website for a while now. You guys have helped me tremendously. Thank You!!!!! My Aunt and Cousin are coming over so I can show them your website and plan a family outing for the afternoon 🙂

  7. I did a search online on the Nabisco website and the coupon says 13 ounce or larger not all boxes say family size like other brands, corporate office representatives not always right especially by phone, I have contacted them many times and each time I ask them to check with the proper dept and then it takes a couple days but they always get back to me, as everyone knows you can’t go by a picture or wording but size and family size is showing same ounces/size. I agree with Monica whom does a very good job along with Steve and i consider to be a very ethical website! Sometimes it depends on whom you speak with at store or corporate level which is why I always escalate on up.

    • Steve Pinski says:

I think it’s a close call. I think Publix intended the coupon for a different product, but they absolutely blew it on wording the coupon for what they intended. During all my contacts with Publix, they have agreed that the words on the coupon – not the pictures – are what matters.

That said, I probably would not have done the deal. However, Publix has all the power to properly word their coupons and enforce them as they see fit. They failed on writing the coupon properly and they still had a line of defense with the cashier if they wanted to block people from using it this way.

I am not going to criticize folks who decide to use the coupon in this way, because we are not mindreaders. Publix left a big gray area for everyone to interpret. With proper wording, there would be no doubt to the correct usage of the coupon.

  8. I recently had a Mgr at the store tell me unless an item is pictured on coupon then can’t use coupon, well that would be impossible to picture all items for some products, she was wrong but still had to get correct person at corporate who knew what they were talking about.

  9. My store allowed use of it due to the size matching which surprised me and I expected them not to allow but asked anyway since they are strict and don’t allow coupons that they should but they did take this one because of the size although in the past I have been told up to each individual store and mgr.

    • Monica Bragg says:

I personally don’t see an issue with it because of the size listing on it.
