walgreens-0517We had two fantastic trips to Walgreens today. The first one was mine early this morning. I had a hunch that the Gillette Register Reward might print on two shave gels instead of the advertised “one razor AND one shave gel”…and I was right! However, if you want to copy my deal make sure you buy these “ProGlide” varieties. I bought the regular Fusion shave gels first and returned them because the Register Reward did not print.

The second trip was while shopping with Stephanie today. She accompanied me on my Target trip to haul around all that soda. For those of you that don’t already know, for voting/mail/etc. purposes, we are members of different households. (Yeah, five years later all my mail still goes to my brother’s house three blocks away.)

Also, I was a bit torn about how to deal with a mistake I made today. After I took the picture from today’s Walgreens trips, I looked at my Colgate Max White Toothbrushes and realized they are not the 360 ones that match the coupon. Initially I was going to retake the picture and return the items later this week, but I decided against that for two reasons: 1) Folks should realize that even experienced couponers make mistakes (when groggy in the morning after a marathon work stint) and 2) If I returned them, Colgate would be out $1 for the coupon and they wouldn’t have even gotten the sale at all…and that seems worse. My plan is to return these items and buy the 360 toothbrushes that are in the sale but use no new coupons, so it will be right once I stop by Walgreens.

Also, make sure you check out our other trips: MONEYMAKER Walmart Trip, $2.45 CVS Trip (including $0.82 Huggies Diapers) and our HUGE Soda 12-pack Stock-Up at Target!

  4. Brandon Pierce says:

Used one $3/1 Gillette Fusion Razor, ProGlide Razor or Shave Gel (Walgreens Coupon) RP 5/3 – deducts $6

The above coupon is confusing me. I have the RP from 5/3 but no coupon. Was it regional?

  5. Us it working as if today monday?

    • Steve Pinski says:

We have not had any comments yet saying the deal is dead 🙂 Just make sure you buy the right products, because the non-ProGlide shave gels that are Gillette Fusion DO NOT produce the Register Reward.

  6. I will try tuesday. Keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks for the info.

  7. It still works! I just paid $0.82 after coupons and points for every two. Thanks!
