cvs-052415Stephanie and I had a great trip to CVS today. I had her get a new card a few weeks ago, so today was our first time using it. She had some Maybelline products she really wanted and I found a few more $1/1 manufacturer’s coupons in my Publix “envelope” from a recent shopping trip. (I was planning to do a moneymaker deal at Publix one day, but the store didn’t have any of the flyers with the store coupon I needed.)

A few notes: Every Sally Hansen coupon beeped, even though they are a match for what was purchased. Also, the $4 Extra Bucks for the L’Oreal deal did not print, even though the ad didn’t exclude travel/trial size and the CVS myWeekly Ad online showed inclusions as low as $1.29. Luckily, we were at one of our friendlier stores and they forced the Extra Bucks to print since the ad didn’t exclude trial/travel size items.

  1. Steve – I see the cash card for $10 is available again this week. I see that Pepsi products are 4 for $11 in Atlanta. Do they still have that deal if you buy $30 worth I get the $10 card? I know you have posted this a few times in the past!

  2. TWO L’OREAL ADVANCED SHAMPOO/CONDITIONER TRAVEL SIZE…

The cashier would not issue the $4.00 extra bucks. I am not to pleased with my cvs. After the refusal of the extra bucks I made her return my money. Do you have any suggestions or “magic” words I could use next time?

    • Steve Pinski says:

I am not sure if there are any magic words. You’re kind of relying on the cashier/manager to honor the words in the ad in this instance, and if they refuse to do it there’s not much else to do. You could contact the corporate office, but this is a deal where we are definitely gaming the system and they probably won’t bend over backwards to help you if your store won’t honor the ad. At least that’s my guess on how it will play out 🙁
