  1. I know this isnt the place to post this, but i have tried to find solutions, but I am now not able to print coupons from coupons.com and smartsource. I have google chrome and I found out that just this month with their new update it no longer supports coupon printing sites or java. So then i updated my internet explorer to IE 11 for windows 7 and still not able to print. If anyone has any idea what is going on. Please help me out. I have looked for answers online, and emailed coupons.com and smartsource and they tell me the same thing over and over and nothing helped. Thanks so much.

Ouch that sucks. I haven’t had to deal with this problem, so I don’t know how to get around it. Hopefully someone else will see this and be able to help.

      • Yes Agreed!!! it just automatically stopped cold. Which means my savings has now been stopped cold. Although I read that smartsource is working on a way to print without java too. Java has alot of security problems and that is why google chrome no longer supports them. I just want to know what everyone else is using as a browser and if it allows you to print from all sites. Also any help would be appreciated.

I use an older version of Firefox and temporarily enable java to print Smartsource and Target coupons. Coupons.com seems to work without me enabling.

  2. Also I cannot use firefox right now, because of security reasons. Not sure what is going on with that browser, and I have also tried to uninstall firefox and it wont let me do it. So I cannot re install firefox. Its crazy………

  3. I found the fix for the Chrome problem. I can’t believe Goog had the nerve to disable Java in Chrome!

Go to this page – http://www.java.com/en/download/faq/chrome.xml . Go down to the section titled “Enabling NPAPI in Chrome Version 42 and later” and follow those directions. It’s not as hard as it looks.

They’re give you all kinds of warnings about it being “experimental”, but I didn’t pay any attention and haven’t had any probs. You might also look thru the list and see what else you want to enable. Goog disabled a few things this month that are irritating.

  4. Thanks so much Cindy for the information. I saw the article on that and was afraid to use it with all the warnings, because of my issues with security and such with firefox I was hesitant about it. Really I still am. Yes they had to nerve to do that without letting us know either, and that bothered me. I really prefer to use Chrome over any of them.

  5. Hi Wendy,
I protect my security intensely, but when it comes to things like this, I *know* Goog is trying to scare us out of using the fixes. I don’t know what their motivation is for disabing Java, unless they have plans to compete with it, but I think it was a big mistake on their part. They probably lost a lot of customers and will still, unless they back off on it – me included. I’m a huge Goog fan, too, but this was wrong.

I agree with you and Appreciate your help, but I tried the link and did this and restarted my computer and it still does not work. Sooooo Frustrating.

    • You don’t have to restart your computer, only relaunch the browser. 😉

Do you have the latest Chrome version? If not, there’re instructions for earlier versions higher up on the page.

The latest Java version? If not, go there to download. I had to do that, too – forgot that earlier. Hope all this helps; I know how frustrated I was when I couldn’t print for a few days. Arrgh!

  7. Thanks so much Cindy for taking your time to post and help me out. I still couldn’t figure out how to do that in chrome, but now able to print in Internet Explorer. Finally something worked. Its bad that you go in Coupon withdrawals not printing for a few days. lol.
