publix-041615I had a great trip to Publix today! I was able to grab everything on my list, exactly as planned. That almost never happens! I used the $10/$50 Gas Card coupon found in the weekly ad that is valid through Sunday. You must buy $50 of groceries in order to use the coupon. Because we were going to buy the gas anyways, I have credited the $10 savings towards the groceries in this trip.

Note that I already had $12 credit towards the SC Johnson SavingStar offer from previous purchases at CVS; that’s why I was able to earn the $5 cashback even though I only had a little over $18 of purchases today. Also note that there is a $0.50/1 Glade Product SavingStar offer available, but I won’t get credit for it on this trip because I already used it at CVS recently.

Here’s what I bought, along with the coupons used:

SIX GLADE JAR CANDLES, on sale $2.49 each after instant savings ($3 off when you buy three select Glade; regular price is $3.49)
ONE DRANO 32 OZ, on sale $3.83 (regular price $4.79)
Get $5 cashback from SavingStar when you buy $30 of select SC Johnson products (including Glade and Drano)
Get $0.55 cashback from SavingStar for buying Drano
Get $1 cashback from Checkout51 for buying two Glade Jar Candles
Used three $1.50/2 Glade Jar Candle Publix store coupons, Spring Savings booklet or printable (exp 4/19)
and used six $1/1 Glade Product coupons, 3/8 SS newspaper insert
Price at Register: $8.27, but received $5.55 total cashback from SavingStar and $1 cashback from Checkout51
NET PRICE FOR ALL: $1.72 (or 25 cents per item!)
***FYI – Glade Wax Melts are also involved in this deal and there is a Checkout51 offer for those too. There’s also a $1.50/2 Publix Wax Melts coupon in the Spring Savings Booklet as well. (They are priced at $3.29, so they are an even better deal.)

ONE LAND O FROST PREMIUM LUNCHMEAT 16 OZ, on sale $3.99 (regular price $5.79)
Used one $0.75/1 Land O’ Frost Premium Meat printable (preclipped/zip 03103)
NET PRICE: $3.24
***To change zip codes, go here and change your zip to the one listed with the coupon link above. Use the box on the right side of the page and enter your zip. Click on the arrow to submit the zip code change. Then come back here and click our preclipped link to the coupon and you should see it right away.

Used two $1/1 Arnold, Brownberry or Oroweat Bread printable manufacturer’s coupons
NET PRICE FOR ALL: $2.29 (or $1.14 each!)

Used two $1/3 Scotties printable coupons (enter giveaway)
NET PRICE FOR ALL: $1.75 (or 29 cents each!)

Used two $1/1 Sandra’s Stuffed Chicken Breasts printable manufacturer’s coupons
NET PRICE FOR ALL: $2.99 (or 74 cents per chicken breast!)
***Watch for peelies. My packages had $1/1 peelies good through 12/30/15 which I will use on a future sale!

Used four $2.99/1 Sea Best Lobster Au Gratin Publix store coupons (not sure if still available), Spring Savings booklet or printable (exp 4/19)
NET PRICE FOR ALL: $4.02 (or $1 each!)
***Note that I tried the microwave directions when I got home. I used the midpoint of the time range they suggested and although the potato cake part and sauce was good, the lobster shrunk and was tough. Either try less time, or maybe try the conventional oven instead.

Don’t forget about the $10 in gas card savings which are reflected in the stats below.

Total Retail Value of All Merchandise: $89.54
Net Price Paid for Everything: $6.01
Savings Rate (excluding tax): 93.3%

  1. thanks to $10/$50 WD coupon from baby club i saved a ton today. I spent $5 for $54 worth of food and wipes !! I can’t thank you enough for the work you do in this website.

  2. On IBOTTA (hint, hint)……… should be able to submit the Arnold bread for a $.25 rebate.

If you have it, it is also on Jingit for another $.25 cents. (MauraFlorida told me about this one 🙂 ) But you have to catch it fast, because they come and go.

I can’t wait to try the Lobster Au Gratin (if there are any left by the time I go to the store LOL)

    • Steve Pinski says:

Once again, time to go trash digging in the kitchen…for a whopping quarter lol.

      • LOL……hope you dug it out 🙂 , cuz there’s also a $.50 IBOTTA rebate on the Scotties that you bought (if they are 120 ct).

Not a lot but hey – every little bit helps and it all adds up when the Team earns money, right 😉

        • Steve Pinski says:

I have it, but I still need to take the few mins to scan the items and submit.

  3. I’ve been buying the 5/30 SC Johnson stuff from Publix and trying to upload my receipt on SavingStar. SavingStar won’t accept the receipts because I don’t have a loyalty card. Our Publix don’t have loyalty cards. What do I do now?

    • Steve Pinski says:

The way to do SavingStar at Publix is to go to customer service and ask for a Upromise card. Register the Upromise card number in your SavingStar account. Then have them scan the Upromise card at Checkout at Publix. It will then automatically do your redemptions.
