cvs-040515I had a great trip to CVS this morning! My trip would have been even better, but I missed out on a few moneymaker deals. I didn’t see the Calendula First Aid Cream at my store (but I may have just missed it), so I didn’t do this $1.01 Calendula MONEYMAKER. I also didn’t see the $1.99 Biore products either, so I didn’t do this $1.02 Biore MONEYMAKER.

However, I got some terrific deals. And since Stephanie was with me, we got to do the Zantac deal twice because the store coupon has a “limit one per customer.”

The ad this week says that the Scrubbing Bubbles/Windex/Shout deal can’t be combined with other offers, so I’m not sure if I will be getting some SavingStar cashback for my matching purchases. Because I am unsure of whether or not I will get the SavingStar money, I did not include those offers in the shopping trip write up. However, I recommend you go activate the SavingStar offers and you might get lucky.

This trip was a five transaction trip, but since it’s Easter Sunday and I don’t want to hang around too long, I’m just lumping everything together below. P.S. Lola and Deuce (the cats) wish you a Happy Easter 🙂

  1. This coupon ($0.75/1 Select Mars Candy CVS store coupon) was “rejected” when I did deal (BOGO Snickers Bar printable worked). Cashier was no help and line long so did not press the issue in store…..but filed a complaint online to CVS Extra Care!

TWO SNICKERS BARS, on sale $0.99 (regular price $1.19)
Used one $0.75/1 Select Mars Candy CVS store coupon (printing for everyone at Red Coupon Machine this week)
and used one BOGO Snickers Bar printable manufacturer’s coupon (deducted $0.99)

    • Steve Pinski says:

I can’t remember if mine beeped, but if so the cashier entered it manually.

  2. Love your cats!!!

    • Steve Pinski says:

I like the one in the front (the all black one.) The black and white boy cat can be a bit of a jerk lol 😉

  3. No 1.99 biore at my CVS either. But it’s a smaller store. I did get the Colgate battery toothbrushes as that was a decent price even without coupons. But then I got a $2/1 toothbrush or toothpaste from the magical red box. So that was a nice added bonus.

    • Steve Pinski says:

      Nice!

    • I hit up 4 CVS stores this morning, and only found **1** $1,99 Biore so…………….I broke down and bought that one and one of the $6.99 ones (had a $1.00 off peelie).
Was $8.61 but got the $5.00 ECB so $3.61 is still not better than nothing !!!
(I was in no mood to hit any more CVS stores, as the remainder of them are farther out)

Duece and Lola are beautiful !!!

Fyi – – found the Calendula cream, I believe near the first aid creams. Already submitted for the IBOTTA rebate too 🙂

      • Steve Pinski says:

That is still a nice deal for two Biore products. I might try a different CVS later this week if I am out and about.

  4. Heather r says:

I only found one of the biore 1 oz too, so I bought one travel size curel (maybe 2 oz? In the regular lotion section) for $2.69 and the ECB Printed without incident. It was still a .64 mm so not too bad 🙂

  5. I bought 2 Wax Melts (1 Hawaiian Breeze and 1 Apple Cinnamon). Just FYI, the Apple Cinnamon does NOT count toward SavingStar (at least not yet). Also, I bought 2 of the Scrubbing Bubbles Toilet Gels and they don’t count either. I’ll return those tomorrow for a spray Scrubbing Bubble since they are the same price. Love your posts, Steve, keep up the good work. 🙂

    • I had the Scrubbing Bubbles toilet gels count towards my SavingStar offer. I would send them a customer request and question it. I believe the offer is good until the end of July so hopefully (LOL) they will answer you before then. They are kinda slow with their responses.
      Good Luck.

  6. paulette owens says:

    how do you ACTIVATE SAVINGSTAR?

    • Steve Pinski says:

You log in at SavingStar. Register your loyalty cards (if you haven’t already done so.) Then choose to “activate” the offers from the list of what’s available.
