cvs 4-26So I had a fantastic trip to CVS Sunday.  I ended up going to to two stores, to spread the purchase of the Coke around, plus the first one didn’t have the Pay Anywhere Credit Card Reader.  I got extremely lucky with this trip, with another Beauty Club $5 ECB printing from the Red Coupon Machine today, along with the surprise $5/$15 in the second transaction.  (I include my Beauty Club ECBs on transactions I redeem them, because I never think to count them on transactions that I earn them on.)  This trip was was only able to be as big as it was, because I paid close attention to my CVS Red Coupon Machine coupons.  Speaking of which, make sure to note what the Red Coupon Machine gave you over in our “It’s Time For a CVS Coupon Request: Tell Us What You Got!” post!  I can’t match them if I don’t have them!  Anyway, on to the shopping trip!

  1. can we use 2 CVS coupons for 1 brookside?

    • Wayland P says:

That is correct, there was a question regarding using multiple CVS coupons on the same item the other day. I did some research and noticed this:

*CVS/pharmacy accepts one manufacturer coupon and applicable CVS/pharmacy coupon(s) per item, unless prohibited by either coupon offer.

Apparently their policy only restricts you to one manufacturer, but does not have that same restriction on store coupons. Most people, including myself, assumed it was only one store coupon per item, because that rule is so common.

      • thank you. and what happened to Zantac? can we have a moneymaker with rebate or not?

        • Wayland P says:

That rebate is unavailable until 5/3. We won’t know anything until then. And even then depending on the rebate, it might take until someone tests it which could take several weeks.

  2. never mind. I read your other post now!!

  3. For some reason I NEVER get any of the $4/20 or $5/15 coupons emailed to me which is a total bummer. However after seeing you got a $5/15 in your app, I just checked mine and I have one too! Woo hoo so excited. Going to go use it now. Thanks for sharing.

  4. kristinita says:

I also got $5/$15 on cvs app.it was credited to me this Thursday. I haven’t reveived any cvs coupons in my email for a year so that was a nice surprise

  5. which isle can i find the credit card reader? thanks!

  6. Chelsea T. says:

Where should I be looking for the cards coupon? I have looked under printable and I can bad find it:(

  7. Wayland, can you please help understand how you were able to use $5/15 toothpaste and $4/20 email coupon in first transaction? Coupons state Limit of one purchase based coupon per transaction. I have both $5/15 toothpaste and $5/15 purchase on my card (sent through CVS app), and I don’t see how it will possibly let me use both in the same transaction.

    • Wayland P says:

They do state that, but the policy also states:

CVS/pharmacy accepts multiple Dollar off Transaction coupons (e.g. $3 off $15) in one transaction if they apply
(Ex. Customer may use two 3 off $15 coupons if they are purchasing over $30.00)

Since I bought enough to qualify for both coupons separately, it was not a problem. Since they do take multiple coupons for the same item, the wording on the coupon is there to prevent in my examlple only spending $20 and trying to use both $5/15 toothpaste and $4/$20 email coupon.

  8. Ahhh, makes sense now. Thank you very much for explaining!!

  9. The coke deal is a limit of 1 EB reward not 2 as you have listed. It’s a limit of 3 transactions at the sale price of 3/$9.

I did this deal with the Almay coupons which were expiring on Sunday, that allowed me to use multiples of the 4 off $12 beauty CRT coupons and my $5 off $15 with all the Almay I picked up. Even with the bottle deposit in MA I ended up only paying OOP $ .20 which means I’ll make $1.60 after I return the cans for the deposit.

    • Wayland P says:

Hmmm. You’re right the ad does say that, I hadn’t noticed. I figured it was limit 2, because my receipt states that I have $15 more to go to do it again.

  10. can you tell me how in the first transaction if the Coke is 3.00 and you only purchased 3 of them, how did you get the 5.00 extra bucks when you purchase 15.00 in Coke? please help, thank you!

    • Wayland P says:

I didn’t. I just listed the deal there. Notice the net price is $8.75, as in $9 for the Cokes minus $0.25 for the Ibotta.

  11. Theresa

I think Wayland got the $5 ECB in transaction No. 2 when he purchased 2 more 12 packs. He had $15 total in two transactions and got the $5.00 ECBs. Is that right, Wayland?

    • Wayland P says:

That is correct. I only listed the “Get $5 in Extra Bucks when you spend $15 on select Coke Products” to show I was working towards it.

  12. oh ok thank you.

  13. Lindsey VC says:

Is there an error in the scenario for the 2pk toothbrushes in transaction #1? Shouldn’t you have gotten back $6 ECBs (3 for each) making it a net price of $.58?

    • Wayland P says:

You’re right. I messed that up. Thanks, I found another math error as well, this was an even better trip than I thought!

  14. I see that people are doubling coupons on the above deals. I can’t double coupons because I am in Fresno. I can never good any good deals. Please email me mrs.marez58@gmail.com and tell me what to do.

  15. I got a free bag coupon with 20% off to fill it in? Any good ideas how to use it? And I just get free bag without buying anything?
    Thanks

    • Wayland P says:

Yup, you get a free bag without buying anything. As for the % off on this specific coupon, it only applies to CVS branded products. The catch with % off coupons is they don’t apply to discounted products, so it becomes a bit more difficult. I’ve not seen any fantastic deals with it, but your mileage may vary.

  16. At ‘my’ CVS, they (cashiers) told me that need to have at least 4 items (to consider the bag full)
And that yes, also wouldn’t apply to any items that were on other type of sale.
